Iverson is 34. I just realized that. Iverson, Felton DJ and who we draft can all play plus Bell if still here and Bell can play some sf. We drop Cartier Martin and give AI 30 minutes a game. He'll probably still get 24 points.

I just got a weird feeling Iverson aint coming. I remembered Phil Jackson really likes him plus the Rockets would probably take him on as well. Even the Hornets might want to pair him up with Paul.
For the Midlevel he has to many options.

Everybody knows his personality sucks and he is a criminal. It's what he does on the court. We need to be put on the map. Usually I dont care about just getting to playoffs if we have no chance or somebody that is obviously to old to be a long term plan but with this franchise just starting basically I think it's important we get put on the map and we could milk him until we get a real star go to guy because we don't know how long it will be.

I always thought his reputation for criminality or being a "thug" was completely overblown. The bowling alley incident which sent him to jail was a joke, and I think most people that are familiar with the story realize it had more to do with the redneck Virginia police/legal system than Iverson.
His reputation for not being 100% committed to his various basketball responsibilities off the court is justified, but that doesn't make him a criminal. His reputation for not having a good effect on team chemistry may be justified but that doesn't make him a criminal.
After this however....I'm not sure. I think i prefer Ben Gordon, or nobody if we have to give up Felton.

The "not giving 100%" thing is entirely based on the overreaction to him missing that practice (we talkin' bout PRACTICE??). He works hard, I would have no doubt about his commitment or preparedness.
That said, he's certainly hood. The question is whether that hoodness hurts the team or not, which I am dubious of, and whether it hurts the fanbase, which I am EXTREMELY dubious of (he HAS to be good for jersey sales, tickets, etc.). To me this only increases the likelihood we can get him, which is still terribly exciting to me.

He is not a criminal? He threw his wife out naked and got her from his cousins house by going in there with a gun.

Technically it was Iverson's house, and she wasn't there. He's only ever been convicted of marijuana possession (actually he plead no contest).
Again, he's hood... but he's good at basketball, gets along with our coach, and would not be bad for our franchise.
