Re: Monta Ellis
We would be glad if you just keep him. No need for Warriros fans to turn to Mavs like ones overvestimating their players.

Raja Bell
DJ Augustine
Desanga Diop
Warriors trade
Monta Ellis
Ronny Turiaf
Jemario Davidson
Felton + Nazr+#12 for Ellis
DJ/Ajinça/Bell for Ellis
Who is it that is overestimating their players here exactly?
A rookie that averaged 11ppg is not exactly the center piece another team would be interested in when trading their slightly older, much more accomplished player.
I'm just saying that these offers are not good. Its not because I'm a Warriors fan, its because nobody would think these deals were any good except for a Bobcats fan looking to get a steal of a trade.

So you wouldn't trade Okafor and Wallace for Monta Ellis then?

If you notice most on here don't want to trade for Ellis...so this is sort of like creating a "straw man" argument.
Personally I love the guy, but there's no way he'd work under Larry Brown.

Mavs fans are (among others), we remember Warriors fans to be a nice bunch o guys, dont screw your image.
You just dont see Larry Brown type of value. I would not touch Monta by a stick.

All three of those trades are definitely fair.
Honestly, as a Bobcats fan, I wouldn't do any of them. In all three of those trades, the Bobcats dish out atleast one starter and another player that could start (Augustin and the 12th pick), while all the Bobcats get back is Ellis. I like Ellis, but there is NO doubt that he has benefited from playing under Nelson and that when him and Davis were together, Davis did the heavy lifting. Not to mention, he's no iron man.
Humble yourself.

Re: Monta Ellis
Add me to the "I don't want Ellis list" either.
I wouldn't do at least two of those trades.

Not technically possible unless the Bobs also eat a large contract. Did you want a side of Crawford with that? Yeah...gimme Okafor and G Wall for Monta and Craw and I do it.
For either by himself? probably not.
I assume you are not putting that on the table.
The stuff St Nick was pointing out..are all deals where GSW easily says no. We don't want to add any no upside $5 mill...$6 mill backups. I like Felton or DJ but not enough. Nazr and Diop are expensive burdens.....Bell is just one more older/high $ SG on a large pile.....
Then again with a lot of folks not seeing the same Ellis I'm used to seeing every game over many years...It's no surprise there's such a gap.
CENSORED... No comment.
