Hey guys,

I have DJ on my keepers league team and was wondering how the negotiations between FO and Felton are going. :D

Doesn't really matter, does it? Felton won't be leaving until next season unless someone offers him a deal we don't match, which pretty much can't happen.

So with this Iverson thing, the way I'm looking at it now is figuring worst case scenario... he somehow makes us worse than we already are (and let's be honest, how likely is that?).

At LEAST in stead of being a #10-#11 seed we end up down there with Milwaukee and NJ and have a shot at a quality draft choice. Best case scenario is he pushes us over the edge, opens up the fringe players we have to do better, and we become a top 6 seed in the East and make the playoffs.

So if we can do this and stay below the lux tax, then it's a no brainer if you ask me. Cut Nazr if you have to avoid the Lux tax. That would ultimately save us money and allow us to get AI by not being over the lux tax wouldn't it?

If only it were that easy.

Teams are bound to contracts just like the players are. The very best we could hope for in that kind of scenario is that Nazr would take a smaller amount than he's due if we cut him lose now...but he'd have to agree to it. That amount would still count against the cap.

Nazr would never be willing to do it because he's not an expiring and he can't expect more than the vet minimum on the open market. If we need to avoid the luxury tax, the only way to do it is a deal with a team that has cap space or perhaps a small cut (i.e., the other team takes the full 125% of the salaries exchanged). Unlikely to say the least.

How many minutes is Radman expected to play this season? Around 20-22 mpg or much less?

i'm guessing 15-20 would sound about right... but i could definitely see a situation happening where he gets beat out for minutes by derrick brown or by tyson sliding over and playing minutes at pf while either nazr or diop plays at center.

then again, assuming wallace misses his usual 10-15 games with injury, vlad should see plenty of time then.

Anticipate some Bobcats roster tweeks

-- A trade of one of the centers for a forward: It's going to be tough to distribute minutes between Tyson Chandler, Gana Diop and Nazr Mohammed. The Bobcats obviously need a reliable backup power forward. I think there have been some discussions and Golden State and Dallas seem logical trade partners. I don't expect Juwan Howard to be back as a Bobcat. I hear there's a good chance of him ending up in Portland, a better bet for the playoffs.

GSW could be interesting...but Dallas? I know we're probably talking Nazr out, but what could we get from them that would be beneficial?
