I don't think anyone would disagree signing May to a one year veteran's minimum contract would have been a good move. But our F.O. seems to be allergic to "good moves."

I absolutely disagree. If I was his owner I would be seriously ticked off after he literally stole MILLIONS of dollars from me. After May signed that contract he had an obligation to play to the best of his abilities and BE IN SHAPE. That's it. Those were the only 2 things he needed to focus on. He failed at both...miserably.

Now it might be somewhat different if May was a #1 pick and we had a lot invested in him, or if he was a veteran with at least some credibility AND a productive resume, but May had none of that. So now you want Bob Johnson to forget that and reach into his pocket and pay this chump another 1.5 million? Are you serious?!? Rewarding irresponsible behavior, you consider that a "good move?"

If you mean his per minute production then yes he had good per minute production. He just didn't play many minutes.

If a guy comes on the court and scores a 3 pointer in the first 5 seconds of the game and then misses the rest of the season I am sure his per minute production would be amazing. But he surely isn't "damn good."

No if I had a choice I would rather sign a young undrafted or D-League player because at least that player will come to camp in shape and give it everything he's got in practice and when in games. You called out our front office for not resigning a player that screwed them over the past 3 seasons. You want to reward a player who's track record shows he will probably not even be available for half the season. Great team building skills you have.

IDK about a "beast" in college. He was an out of shape fat load then and used his massive girth to push around skinny college players. Coleman in college was an all around beast. Was the number 1 overall pick and had some great seasons (stat wise) during his first 5 years in the NBA. Were you even born when Coleman was in college?
