Because obviously (or it should be obvious), May thinks the Bobcats are being unreasonable in not just signing Felton to an exorbitant contract. My point is Felton is an adequate player that deserves an adequate contract and we don't need a lazy, undisciplined player like May trying to pontificate. Felton has shot 28% from the three point arc the last two seasons.

Felton (and May) should look at the contract Sessions just signed with the Timberwolves as an indication of the economic region Felton should be looking for.

Bonnell is saying a MLE deal will get it done and a MLE deal is by definition average salary...not "exorbitant".

Sure he has weaknesses, but he has his strengths as well (some of those which you allude to as being minimal expectations).

Sessions was different because:

1) His QO was around 1 million
2) If he took the QO he'd still be RFA next season.
3) His team didn't want him back.

They might be comparable in talent/potential, but their situations are way different.

And for his career, he shoots over 30 percent.

At least, we can say as Bobcats' fans, that our FO won't let quality players walk for nothing. I mean, Milwaukee didn't even offer CV the QO, and now Sessions will probably be leaving for only $4 million a year.

Heh, yeah...so if Jordan gives an interview afterwards and seems a little ticked about the contract we can pretty much count on Felton being here only til that BYC wears off. If not then he can expect to be talked about in trade rumors each season, have his bags all but packed but ultimately be kept (Crash).

I'd like to see Felton signed with Bobcats. It'd be great to have him on the team. He's a good solid player.

So are we signing Felton yet or what? I notice his Jersey isn't even an option to buy on the new design.

Can you legally sell a jersey with a player on it that isn't actually signed on your team? I mean I know the Morrison ones were up there after the trade but that was massively discounted just trying to get rid of them. This isn't really the same situation. I'd imagine they'd be up for sale not too long after he signs..

Heh, remember during the last game of the year Crash was set to hit FA his jersey came up for 35 bucks (deal of the game maybe?). Everyone thought that meant something.

All it meant in the end was that I got a great deal on Crash's blue alternate.

Felton's going to be here on his QO at worst (best?). No conspiracy or hidden meaning.
