Versus what? Let his contract expire and get nothing for him?

Hell, that's almost worth more than Jeffries and a 2012 2nd rounder

I think Walsh is very worried he does not have enough cap room for two max contracts. If he trades Jeffries contract and gets back an expiring contract then even under the gloomiest cap scenarios NY would like have money for two max contracts.

If Bell DOESN"T have surgery, I would have to give him A LOT of respect. I realize his situation..1) missing most of the season and then being a FA ..but at least he'd go into FAgency healthy. 2) Play the season and go into FAgency old and hurt.

The reason I'd have a lot of respect. I feel MOST guys would say this: I asked to try and work out a contract extension over the summer and you didn't even want to entertain the idea. Therefore, I'm having surgery.

I don't think I'd blame him either. He actually WANTED to extend his contract with us (and I understand why the 'Cats didn't want to do it) and we chose to tell him no. Therefore, I'm having the surgery to make sure I'm at least healthy going into FAgency. Bell's a great guy and I'm rooting for him no matter what decision he makes.

:D

Graham's starting at shooting guard? I guess LB doesn't feel Hendo is ready.
Humble yourself.

Glad we're not going DJ/Felton yet.

Me too, esp. vs. a team like the Celtics. I was worried we were going to get run outta the gym trying to match up against Pierce/Allen & Rondo.

Agree with that, and it's no surprise LB won't start a rookie in game 1, but Graham? I guess we'll see if this "George Lynch II" experiment works.....

:sigh: ...why can't we ever just get started without such issues?? :sigh:
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
