Are you oblivious to what he's doing in Phoenix? Dudley is an NBA roleplayer that provides hustle. He is definitely someone we brought into the league that should be considered one of our better selections in the draft. Good pick =/= stats, it's about getting relative value. There are some guys taken after him that have been better, but that's hindsight... there were a lot of players picked ahead of him that he is better than. Brown and Henderson are good picks as well, but I guess you can consider Dudley a bad pick if you want, it's just weird to me.

I'm comparing his sophomore numbers in a faster pace to UPS and Hendo's rookie numbers in a slower pace. I don't see how what he's doing for Phoenix has anything to do with this comparison. I'm sure if both of our rookies are given four years to grow and Phoenix's system to play in they'd be doing better than 8 and 4.

I never said he was a bad player and I never said he was a bad pick. So I don't understand why you're assuming that. What I said was "He was a good team guy... but (his on court contributions) don't really scream good pick to me." So please don't assume that, thanks.

I understand Dude was a fan favorite and was a good team player (again, I've already said that). But that doesn't set him apart from other guys very much.

Dudley is a clever player with a high iq, so he's developed his game in order to carve out his niche. This should not be a special skill for an NBA player, but many fail at adjusting, so it's worth noting. Your posts are all over the place, so I don't really even know to respond.

"He was a good team guy, but... doesn't really scream good pick to me." If you're not suggesting that he was a bad pick, what's your point? He was a pick, period? We were agreeing that we're a sucky franchise when it comes to drafting. You threw out Okafor, two guys we didn't draft and our most recently drafted players. I added Dudley, because he's another good player that we originally drafted. Totally confused as to why we're posting back and forth about this.

...yeah, Swedd you definitely implied Dudley was not a good pick when you went out of your way to contest Walt's suggestion that he was.

Dudley was perhaps our best pick to date, though admittedly Brown has the chance to pass him this season.

I liked Dudley from the get go too.

As for the Cavs, I thought the Cat they wanted was Jackson, not Diaw. If the Cats can turn around and move Jackson for someone like Hickson and short contracts, I think they should jump on it.

THere is absolutely no way that the Cavaliers trade Hickson for Jackson. You'd have to add a WHOLE LOT MORE to that deal if there was ANY chance of that getting done. GSW offered Jackson to Cleveland with a 1st and it was turned down....the Cavs countered with Zydrunas for Jackson + a 1st.... and we all know how that turned out.

The only way that Hickson is moved is if it is for a VERY good player, or a good player+1st round pick

Good thing our mods aren't like the Miami ones.
