This happens less than 4% of the time

Post#1 » by 99problems » Tue Dec 22, 2009 4:06 pm

Stephen Jackson making 50% of his field goals in a game. One time in 26 games this season.

Even Felton has done it 9 times.

I'm pretty tired of 7-18 every game.

he takes a lot of forced shots and bad shots. he's also not nearly as good of a shooter when left wide open as i anticipated. i think we all knew he was a high volume shooter with low %. it is odd however that he almost never had a game where he goes 7-12 or something like that. hell, even ammo had a few of those games.

i think jax has that mentality that if he was shooting 50% during a game, he would view that as being "on fire" and probably keep forcing shots until he cooled off to the point of his fg% dropping below 50%.

but compared to flip, jax looks like dwight howard in terms if fg%.

yea I knew he wasn't the most efficient shooter but thought he may tone it down a bit coming into the Bobcats offensive system.

He's shooting just over .400 on the season, which isn't unheard of, but only having one game at .500 or better FG% through 26 games is flat out amazing (ly bad).

Nothing like judging a 10-year vet on 26 games. Particularly one who is starts seasons slow and heats up when the games matter.

His career rate of 50%+ FG for games is actually 29%.

Judging?

It's a GD fact. One time. Almost a third of the season played. FACT.

heh, I thought about this thread the other night when I saw Jackson was taking like 25 shots or something and only making 8. I don't mind him taking a good chunk of shots, he can at least finish at the rim. But he gets into these modes where he's taking the shot no matter what and it puts us in a rut.

Again, what did you expect when we got him? Just look at his shooting % of the past seasons.

yeah, last year matt rochinski (or whatever his name is) called all the games solo. he still does some of the games now solo, like last night. but brevin has been doing most with him this year.
