I will admit being a hater and was barracking for him to get traded, but when he is aggressive like this, I agree, he is perfect for us

Awesome win against good competition.

I can't believe this is the same team I wanted to blow up earlier in the season.
What a turnaround.

Damn that Ian Mahinmi for blocking GH's dunk. It could've been a really nice exclamation point.

I thought Charlotte would win a close one. I did not see us delivering a major smack down on the heads of the Spurs! Terrific defense tonight after the Half. Great win!

I love that we never seemed rattled at any stage of the game. There was a quiet calmness to us all night.

We really are legit!!

ok... so i am reading the book "sharpening the stinger" by rick bonnell right now. the book, written in 1993 followed the charlotte hornets the year they beat the celtics in the first round of the playoffs (larry johnson's 2nd year, mourning's rookie year)

i am starting to see a lot of similarities in terms of attitude between this team and that team. we finally have some swagger and confidence. we go into games expecting to win, regardless of who we are playing. that is something we have never had before. jackson and flip have really added some much needed attitude to this team.

randoms thoughts from reading that book...
- mourning was a prick.
- kenny gattison was maybe the most underrated hornet of all-time
- kendall gill led the league in getting his shot blocked in 1992. apparently its a charlotte thing.
- i miss allen bristow. i dont miss george shinn.
- the similarities between jr reid and sean may are eerie.
- now i remember why i called him david wingrape

anyway... i recommend it to any hardcore old-school hornets fan

I love the kats right now. They have a great coach and sick defense on the wings. Capt. Jack and Crash are probably the best defensive wing duo in the NBA.

Gerald Wallace is one of the most under-appreciated players I've ever seen in the NBA. He gets next to no time on national tv and doesn't get nearly enough of his amazing plays highlighted on ESPN and other outlets.

I've been a little disappointed that Boris Diaw hasn't been more consistent, but he's a multi-facted player and showed it tonight.

I've said it before no one will want to play the Cats in a 7 game series and we don't even know what moves they might still make and despite what some people think Tyson Chandler will be huge if he returns healthy.

I want to see this team step it up on the road. If they accomplish that they can win a first round post-season series against any team in East.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

Guys, couldn't see the game (have a gig) but it's a great win for us. Diaw played like someone lit his fire. Believe me, if he brought this kind of production with regularity why would I complain?? I hope it's a sign of things to come. He's had some good games strung together. Maybe they're finally helping him find his role and be more assertive.

If Diaw can play at even close to this high level, and we get Chandler and Nazr to hold down some D in the middle, we can be a scary spoiler team in the playoffs. But let's also recognize that the guards must shoot better than tonight. Nice game evidently by DJ, with 7 assists! I've been dogging both those guys, but I'll gladly eat my crow if DJ can become a player worthy of his draft position.

CONGRATS CATS! Now back to the show.... :guitar:
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Nice.

The team assists seem to climb when Diaw can actually knock down his open jumpers. I hope he can continue this.
