Favorite rotation lineup?

Post#1 » by misterglover » Tue Jan 19, 2010 11:38 pm

With the bobcats much improved play the only thing that worries me now is that fact that our major players are logging so many minutes, I mean at some point that has to take a toll on the body but Larry Brown is a hall of fame coach so Im gonna assume he knows what he is doing....with that being said I was wondering what does everyone think our best lineup is...not necessarily the starting lineup but the best players on the floor together.

Mine has got to be the small ball lineup of Felton/Murray/SJax/Crash/Diaw....if Diaw is playing like he wants to actually play I would take that particular lineup against any team & actually feel like we got a chance to win. To me the only other lineup that comes close is when you take our Flip & insert Derrick Brown.

I really don't know how you could keep out Mohammed given how great he plays for us. Particularly in favor of Flip, who barring the last couple weeks has been a disaster this season. Anyway I'd go with the really obvious Felton/SJax/Crash/Diaw/Mohammed, which also happens to be the lineup that's played the most minutes together for us this season, so I guess LB likes it best too.

Statistically, though, our best lineup is actually DJ/Flip/SJax/Crash/Diaw (wow, that's a lot of shooting!)... but it's only played together 42 minutes. Actually, if it's one thing looking into this has shown me, is that we play a LOT of lineups, though a part of that is the fact that we've traded a couple players and had some injuries.

Anyway, if you just throw together our top 5 players by +/-, that would be Felton/Flip/Brown/Crash/Diop, but that lineup has only played 1 minute.... maybe something to try out in garbage time.

Felton Murray Jackson Wallace Diaw is our best lineup. Our best defenders are on the floor and is probably one of our better offensive lineups as well.

That lineup doesn't fly against teams with a strong post up guy. Imagine Boris or Crash defending Dwight Howard? lol

It's definitely a really good lineup, it's +11.07 per 100 possessions, which is the best among ones that have had 100 minutes.
