Anybody think they wont resign Felts?

Post#1 » by Dexmor » Thu Jan 21, 2010 1:28 am

They would have to go over the luxary tax to resign Felton and def to resign Felton and Flip.
I want Flip back but Felton is the only thing that really matters to me as Henderson seems like he would be ready next year.
Now with D.J. showing he is not nearly as good as Felton and the Bobcats being a top 10 team in the league and in 2011 and 2012 they will be about 20 million under the cap so they would only have to pay the luxary tax for 1 year to keep Ray Felton.

If they lose Felton they go from having the best 1-2-3 peremiter combo and be a playoff team who can actually go to 2nd round and give a good fight to get to the third round to a lotto team if they lose Felton.

Now they said no matter what they will not pay the luxary tax.

Does anybody think that is true and they will let Felton walk to avoid the tax?

His problem was turnovers and % but with Jackson there he has very little turnovers and since Jack has shot 50% from the field and over 45% from 3.

So even though they said they would not go over the luxary tax no matter what do you believe that?

D.J. can not take his place, defensively or offensively. I think if they let him go it would cost them more money then the luxary tax for a year. It would be borderline Sterling. They would take a playoff team who just made it back to a lotto team.
What do you guys think. Please don't tell me you are all still Raymond haters.

Didn't you repeatedly say that D.J. would be a star and that Felton should be traded this offseason?

But yes, I do think Felton needs to be brought back, as I always have.
Humble yourself.

Yeah he has grown on me. He needs to stay. I love the way his game has changed a bit, having better shot selection. That has resulted in a better FG % (2 pt and 3 pt). We need to do everything we can to do to keep him.
