Beyond Jackson's and Murray's impact of late, Chandler mentioned one more reason the Bobcats have made some progress: A less-is-more approach to play-calling.

Chandler and small forward Gerald Wallace say coach Larry Brown trimmed back the play selection of late, apparently to make it easier on the newcomers.

Wallace estimated the active plays have been trimmed from 30 pages to three. Chandler put it this way:

"I'd rather be great at 15 plays than just OK at 70."

Keith (Detroit)
OKC has already been a surprise this year, but they are still a double-team demanding big man away from really making a mark in the postseason. Do you think they can bring in an Al Jefferson or equivalent player by next year?

J.A. Adande (3:42 PM)
I think they'd rather have a guy with a better presence defensively than Jefferson. That's what they went for with Chandler. (By the way, every game that Chandler misses this season makes OKC look smarter and smarter for voiding that trade)
