Its the Pacers. I hope we can work out some kind of DJ-Law-Henderson-Diaw for Tyler-Jones-Ford

If the Pacers are only asking about Law, I can't see it being a big trade.
More like your trash for our trash.

Maybe for S.Jones and McRoberts.

Can't see us trading for Ford because there's not enough minutes to go around. I can see us trading for Earl Watson who would fit nicely into Larry Brown's second unit which likes to press and trap. And I'm not sure I would use all of my trading chips on TH who would have to start at PF if we trade Diaw.

Normally I'd think that was a good deal for us...but if he's giving VDN troubles I'd hate to see how LB would react to him.

At least he lets Flip play (most times that's a good thing).

Ya, and it would seem that TT is dead set on trying to be a jump shooting PF rather than an in and under PF - which is a pity because with his athletic ability, quickness and explosion he would be a handful down low.

I don't really want a jump shooting PF.

In saying all that, it took Smoove about 5 years to "get it" and now that he has stopped launching 3's and jump shots he is a difference maker.

Maybe TT needs the same sort of time?

Agree that Thomas would be very welcome here. I've got to believe LB would be a huge positive influence and teacher with that young man. Would love him here and bring Diaw off the bench (if not part of the trade). But no way Chicago gives up TT for Law and Murray.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Either that or LB would get so pissed off at him that he'd park his arse at the end of the bench and not play him.

I know which way I think it'd go...but you never know I guess.

I think you might have misunderstood Bass. I'm saying I DON'T want a jump shooting 4 - especially one who is not a great jump shooter! If he got his arse down on the block a lot more it might be a different matter, but he doesn't.

Personally I'd prefer Gibson over TT. At least he knows his role - but I was pretty high on Gibson coming out of USC.

I'd happily take on TT if we didn't have to give up much to get him, but he's not that high on my list because of his style of play.

The 'tude doesn't help he cause either.

I think he has some great tools, and like I said, so long as he didn't cost too much I would welcome him with open arms as our back up PF, but he is far from the answer to our starting PF problems IMO.

yeah... i feel the same way. i'd put aside my TT bias if he came cheap and accepted a role as an energizer off the bench. but i dont see him coming cheap or accepting a limited role unfortunately.

I don't see us and them as good trading partners any ways.

1. We don't really have anything they need/want.
2. We are both fighting for the last playoff spot and I doubt will want to help each other out.

I'd like to try and find a way to get Speights from Philly.

I like him more than JT and Hill and think he could easily slide into the starting 4 spot for us come play off time.

I have to think Philadelphia still looks at Speights as untouchable. I know he's not been very good lately, but I feel like the only reason the 6ers let him go is they know he's damaged goods or that his weight is a major issue and we've been there.
