Should Tyrus Thomas start over Boris Diaw?

Should TT start over Boris, and have Boris come in as our off the bench scorer until we sign our back up sg?

I'd be ok with giving it a test run. Can't hurt any.

Only problem is that Boris tends to be too passive on the offensive end.

Yessir, I can imagine Boris swooping in for an uncontested layup only to no-look it away to HULK.

They played the same number of minutes in the Utah game actually...and Tyrus wasn't too far behind in the other 3 games he's played.

Certain guys play a lot better as starters, imagine how much Jax would mope if we ever wanted to put him on the bench. It depends whether being seated at the tip-off would effect Diaw's confidence. If so, just let him start and play Tyrus more. Judging by the last few games, coming off the bench doesn't seem to hurt his game.

Tyrus gets more run than Theo, in the crunch TT plays, I say start him and Boris together. Boris is a more polished player on the ball, he can "D" up some big men, start them together! They play good together and it gets production.

Good points well I think Larry should abandon the small lineup down the stretch and sit Boris play TT and Theo together until we get some of our bigs back, Theo and TT bring so much energy and can create momentum changing plays on defense

I actually wonder how long it will be before LB starts T2 at center with Boris PF?

He sure deserves more than 22 minutes. Maybe give Crash a well deserved breather?

I love ya LB...but you need to work on your rotations badly.

I was really impressed with the trade bring in TT. He does have potential but he doesnt seem to have much desire to improve as a player in this league. Maybe LB can straighten him out. I think he could start here.

Whats the update with Chandler and I noticed Nazr racked up a DNP, is he hurt as well?

They should play together as starters.

Starting them both is a terrible idea. TT is not an everyday starting center. That would be putting him in a position to fail, not succeed. TT is the new guy who just arrived. He's playing well off the bench. I'd leave it like that and some games he might get more minutes than Boris.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

We tried playing Boris off the bench here and he didn't do well IIRC

tt is fine off the bench. we need that spark. he will get his minutes on most nights and he will finish games on most nights.

the bench is too weak to have boris coming off the bench passing up shots...that said i love TT rebounding with the first unit....maybe if TT was taller or boris was not a pussy....they could play together

Diaw can handle being a borderline scrub all on his own these days.

Mind you, he's been playing well lately and I've been more lax on him than many fans this season... but it had to be said.

Only reason to start Diaw over Tyrus is so his value doesn't increase were he gets a huge contract offer.
