nba.com says they will see how he is after the practice so that's promising. He heals fast.
If he misses the Magic game thats fine. They have like 3 back to backs coming in the next 8 games or so.
If he makes it back after the Magic game and Hughes is signed by then don't be suprised if we are fighting for 5th place or lock up 6th and pull an upset. We can beat everybody with Gerald healthy in a few days and Hughes except maybe the Magic but even them we possibly could with just as many offensive weapons now and Tyson and Theo to throw at him.

Couldn't agree more. The win streak is nice and all and I dig the mo we have right now, but big picture: We need Crash playing at or as close to 100% as possible for the rest of the season to make the post season.

I would be more than ok with giving him Sunday off. I think it would be best for the long term.

Yeah with so many back to back's let the young guys get alot of pt.
Now if Wallace is 100% or close and Hughes is available I would go at the Magic hard and try and get the first win vs them in a long time.

We all know this will never happen. LB would rather let Graham play 48 minutes, than playing the rookies for 15 minutes

http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_n ... gning.html

-- Gerald Wallace's sprained left ankle was quite sore this morning, so the team sent him for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging. They haven't heard anything on the results of that test yet. However, I'd be surprised if Wallace plays against the Magic in Orlando, if he was that sore today.

Coach Larry Brown indicated that if Wallace can't play, he'd likely move Stephen Jackson to small forward in the starting lineup. He'd then likely start either Stephen Graham or Gerald Henderson at shooting guard. Wallace currently leads the NBA in minutes (42 per game), so there's a lot of fill-in in his absence. Look for Boris Diaw to play more small forward (Brown wants to leave Tyrus Thomas at 4) and for Raymond Felton and D.J. Augustin to play together in the backcourt.

Props to Blockparty @ BCP:

Meanwhile, an MRI on forward Gerald Wallace's left ankle on Saturday revealed no fractures or ligament ruptures. But Wallace likely will miss Sunday's game at Orlando after being injured on Friday.

That's very good news to hear. All that's left now is rest.

How much rest? We can afford for him to miss 2 games max imo.
Although having Hughes means they will go on a heck of a run at the end.

Did Jordan have a beef with Hughes?

I think we'd lose the Orlando game anyway. After that, Indiana is terrible so as long as we get quality play from Jax, Felton, and Boris we will win. Although it's on the road, so who knows.

We're a better team with Wallace playing like he has been. But when we were struggling, I think had Wallace sat for a while during each game we would've been better off because the dude was sleep walking for about 2 weeks after the AS break.

Wallace sat out his second straight game with a sprained left ankle. He hopes to play Friday in Atlanta, after testing the injury today and Thursday.
