Jax's injured finger is the problem?

Post#1 » by ohara » Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:13 pm

I was unaware that he has a significant finger injury. A ligament injury is painful indeed and it does explain his poor shooting the past few games. But he needs to find a way past the problem, and real quick. Perhaps a cortisone hot or something. But we wont do crap in the playoffs if he is playing the way he has the past few games.

If his finger is that bad he should stop shooting.

He can still impact a game greatly with his D and passing. No need for him to shoot as much as he is if a bunged up finger is effecting him.

This news makes that play they ran at the end of regulation last night even more idiotic.

Give the ball to the dude with the messed up hand, let him stand there for 8 secs then launch an off balanced shot...................with a messed up hand.

A messed up hand.

The other concern here is that Jax is what, 31 or 32 years old? He's played a LOT of basketball and missed very few games over the years.

Maybe his body is starting to break down. Maybe he is starting to slow and will become more and more injured?

Not exactly something you want to hear from a 31-32 year old who you are still on the hook for at around 9 mill a year over the next three years.

There is no high. The whole league knows his contract situation, and he's alienated a few teams. Just enjoy the ride as he propels you to the playoffs and hope that is worth the pain you will get later.

I expect either a falling out, a serious drop in production, or an injury from Jax before he completes his contract.

He's got 3 seasons left including this one right? So if he can give us something next year, the worst case scenario is him being a useful expiring in 2011-2012. I'll take it.

No! He has 4 years left including this one. His contract will be expiring in 2012-13 (10M).

Yes, the extension was given to him almost two full seasons before it kicked in. He negotiated it directly with our owners right-hand man, Robert Rowell. He played Rowell good. Then after he got his money it was less than a season before he demanded a trade.

The Warriors are for sale. I can't wait. Rowell will never work in a front office again.
