Possible Ways We Can Get Lebron and Durant and Howard

Post#1 » by 4WhomRajaTolls » Wed Apr 28, 2010 5:18 pm

Lebron: S&T w/ Cleveland. Cleveland gets Chandler. Shaq is aging. Lebron will play PG.
Durant: Gerald Henderson and Frenchie. Frenchie gives the Thunder the big man they desperately need. And Gerald Henderson can give Harden a much earned 5 minutes rest per game.
Howard: He's expendable for the Magic with the break out of Gortat. The team has too many players that can shoot the 3-Ball. Sign & trade Ray to the Magic so Nelson can feel good about himself at practice. A confident Nelson is more important than the miniscule difference between Howard and Gortat.

So the line-up next season is:
Lebron-Jax-Durant-Crash-Howard w/ players rotating as match-ups dictate. I believe this line-up has the potential to make it to the 2nd round of the Eastern playoffs.

I don't get it.

Oh wait, you're saying we're being totally ridiculous with the CP3 talk.

Now I get it.

Can I merge this to the thread it's making fun of? I'm excited to play with my new toys for the first time.

I think it's a better idea to just dump lolcats here. Wouldn't want to taint the CP3 thread.

I don't want Howard, he fouls too much.

And he is dumb so much he would play in Europe before Jennings if he would be born just few years later.

Regardless he wouldn't play for us and if we would have him we ould trade for Stromile Swift for his complex understanding of the game and high BB IQ needed for Larry Brown offense. Or Larry would retire facing such a freak of nature.

Maybe I'm one day too late. There was no reason to concern myself with such threads until the team was eliminated from the playoffs.

i think this could still be a lot of fun, personally I would give it a try. If this thread is redundant it would die from inactivity anyway. My two cents.

Okay, here's mine:

LeBron REFUSES to resign with anyone but Charlotte because he decides that only the combination of Larry Brown and Michael Jordan can make him the player he wants to be. I'm too lazy to see what the actual max contract would be, but wiki shows 17.31m in 09-10 for a player with 7-9 years experience. We sign him to a max contract and sign and trade Wallace, Jackson, to Cleveland. Their hands are tied, LeBron will literally only sign with us, but LeBron would rather sign nowhere than for less than max contract his bird rights will secure, so Cleveland has some power there. They stay relevant with:

Mo/Boobie
Jackson/West
Wallace/Moon/Parker
Jamison/Hickson
Varejao

Kevin Durant leaks to the media that he hates Jeff Green and Russell Westbrook and makes a scathing remark about the residents of Oklahoma City. He says that MJ was his favorite player growing up and he thinks his intensity, coupled with Larry Brown and possible peer LeBron James is too impossible to pass up. He also will not be resigning with Oklahoma City in a years time and threatens to flee to Europe to play for Olympiacos unless the Thunder trade him immediately. With a lot of space under the cap, Oklahoma City is willing to take on our best remaining players from the era before LeBron, Mohammed, Diaw and Tyrus Thomas. If OKC needs to add salary, they sign a one year resigned Harpring or something. Maybe we include our first 2 years from when the Bulls get it or whatever prospects we have.

Dwight gets embarrassed by Shaq and LeBron in the EC Finals and LB makes a mention to the media about how he knows he could teach him how to play without fouling. Dwight decides that the pairings of Durant and LeBron with Brown andJordan behind them will never be bested by the teammates he's stuck with in Orlando. They accept Tyson/UPS/DJ/Hendo.

We sign veterans and young role players to minimum contracts. That's what I came up with.

Oh man... I know this is going on a tangent. But how successful in the East do you guys think this team would be? Is this the 2/3 seed in the East (after Orlando and maybe Boston or Atlanta)?

They compete for a playoff spot. Injuries determine how high they get. I wouldn't have very high expectations, but it's better than what the Bobcats managed to snatch a 7 seed this year with. Varejao>Chandler/Ratliff, Mo>Felton, Jamison>Diaw, West/Boobie/Moon/Parker/Hickson> Thomas/Augustin/Hughes/Graham

At least LeBron would be sure he can't lose to Bobcats again :D When you can't beat them, join them
