Agreed.

I'd much rather Big Al anyways.

Given these circumstances, it's now Al Jefferson or bust. Tyrus is apparently gonna get a front loaded deal from Jersey that we cannot match. Problem is, the Wolves need and want a SG, especially now that they have Beasley, so I'm doubting they'd want Chandler for AJ. Wonder if we could send them Henderson and Nazr for Love and Sessions? DOUBT IT!

It would probably take a Chandler and Henderson for AJ and Sessions.

Dark days ahead if we lose Tyrus and don't get Jefferson.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Sadly it is probaby the best Heat can do. (Maybe only) Kahn is offering him a second round which will be probably not worse than 40th pick, which is great for Heat as they could get a solid player for little money, possibly getting a steal (or they can mess that up of course). And Beasley will be in the West, nobody in Sota will fix his head and Wolves are the team that si going nowhere with or without him as long as they have Kahn. SCB would have same impact on the NBA playoffs as he would have if he'd play in Europe.

They are not selling Love in any case, and less for Nazzy and Henderson (veteran and unproven rookie for a guy who averaged 14-11...)

The second trade is more factible and perhaps it´s possible,I like it,we got that scorer on the frontcourt and a decent point guard.I also expect Augustin to step up and become a solid starter in the NBA

I think our two most likely trade partners are the Nets via S&T for TT and Minnesota involving Al Jefferson.

If we can't make any moves though, maybe the plan should be to do what these other teams have done and just clear cap over the next few years so we can bring a Chris Paul to the team.

I don't see any motivation for Jersey to do a S&T, as they have no player or contract they need to dump, and plenty of cap room to sign Thomas away from us. Humphries would seem to be expendable but he's an expiring and provides cheap depth.

If I'm Tyrus, do I want to go to a team that is already planning to groom their 1st rounder as their future all-star? Staying in Charlotte he'd (hopefully) become a starter and get coached by a legend. Perhaps Tyrus will be like LeBron and make a decision that's not all about money.

We really need to find another home for Diaw (assuming we keep Thomas and/or trade for Jefferson). Wish the Knicks would want him as part of the reunion tour (but not for Curry).

i dont think it is fair to place any criticism of losing out on beasley on our front office (at least not what they did or did not do yesterday). we were not the ones who broke down the negotiations. it was either houston or toronto that messed it up. we could not absorb beasley outright.

all other blame is fair game however.

Disappointing. But yeah, it's a good sign that management was at least going after him. Would've been an interesting fit. I don't really like him in Minnesota. But I've been confused by pretty much everything that Minnesota has been doing the past couple of years.

Wouldn't Diaw for Curry give us massive amounts of cap room next summer to be huge players with the Nets?

No apology necessary. In fact, THANK YOU!! Your GM most likely kept ours from losing both Chandler and Thomas for a guy who was eventually had for a few million in cap space and a 2nd round pick.

Not sure if Pringles would want to try and play Stoudamire and Diaw together again but ya never know.

Well, I think he realizes he is an expiring contract and it is not that mcuh about his play. Plus it is tricky with all that lockout possibilities next offseason.

I don't know if any of you have seen this, but it's an interesting tweet by Beasley's father.

If true, that's a hilarious reason to trade a player just to make another player happy.
