I'm not saying that Sessions > Calderon.

However, Sessions at $4M per year + Chandler's expiring may be better than Calderon at $10M per year.

Then you still have the Chandler expiring and a PG.

I'm cool with that idea, so long as we are dealing Diaw for Jones and the TPE versus Evans. See, I want options and less money against the cap. Plus I don't see Evans as a difference maker.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

This just in from Stein over at ESPN:

"Sources close to the situation said Tuesday that two main factors led the Bobcats to pull out: Calderon has a 10-percent trade bonus in his contract in addition to the $29 million remaining on the deal over the next three seasons; and Charlotte coach Larry Brown was never in favor of the trade."

I really don't understand the Bobcats organization.

How does MJ not know about this deal until the last second. Isn't that how an organization should be run? This trade goes through management and its owner(s) beforehand.

I think the Bobcats dropped the ball on this one.

Please 'splain to me how that TPE is going to help the Bobcats win games while D.J. Augustin is sucking ass as the Bobcats' PG? They sure as heck need SOMEONE to play PG, and Augustin isn't the answer.

Note - I am a Bucks fan, but live in CLT so have some interest in what the Bobcats are doing.

No one will likely ever know the full story of how this unfolded, but I think it's fair to say there is some lack of communication going on between Higgins, LB and MJ. Higgins is certainly the guy developing and discussing the deals, and I'm sure things are passed along and discussed in stages. I suspect the 10% trade kicker was not known in the initial discussion, and that, combined with possible swapping of the players to be included/amount of TPE, plus LB's lack of desire from the get-go to deal Chandler, killed the deal. I do think both teams have some work to do on discussing details with agents before the terms are FULLY AGREED UPON.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

In light of the new Dallas trade rumor, I am locking this down.
