I'd say he is! He can still block like crazy when he wants it. Still pretty good on defense. Good for 15-25 mins a game.
I'm a Charlotte Bobcats, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Braves and North Carolina Tar Heels fan!

He was a valuable pickup for us last season. Even at his age, he can still contribute. He'll fit well in LA.

Can still block shots with the best of them, tough, physical and a good D12 defender.Good pickup for you guys.15 minutes he'll give you production, any more than that you're just asking for it.

Great shot blocker (still), crappy rebounder and for some reason thought he had a mid range jump shot towards the end of the season - which he does not.
Like I said though, great shot blocker and very handy for 3rd string C duties on a good team.

He's better than Mbenga. Plus, when Bynum gets hurt like he usually does, Ratliff can step in and play some serious minutes starting or from the bench.

i been a fan of ratliff for awhile, i love shot blockers. he can still play. if he's gonna play most games he should avg 15mpg. he's too old to be a pirmary backup, but he can split those minutes. he'll definitely block shots, average rebounder, and that's it. great 3rd stringer, borderline average backup. him, benga and powell are good enough to backup the 5

He might be old, but he can still be the primary backup. I was hoping that we would retain him because he's still that good.
5ppg/1.5bpg/4rpg in 22mpg is great. That's more production than what Diop would give and it rivals fragile Chandler. Lakers got a steal for probably a minimum contract. I've always enjoyed his play and it's sad to see him get old; at one time, he was one of the best defensive centers in the league, if not the best.

Will be a good pickup for you guys...especially if Bynum gets banged up late in the season again. You guys could still go big with a combo of Theo/Pau Rather than moving Pau to C and sliding Odom to PF. Looked like you guys were manhandling the Celtics when Bynum's knee was holding up and he was out there playing hard. With Theo there won't be much of a drop off in defensive presence and rebounding. Enjoy

Will ratliff give out hard fouls?

Not so much. He's too smart/valuable for that.
He did get inside Dwight Howards head during the playoffs though, just by standing his ground.
Theo wont back down - which is better than a hard foul.

Theo is as old as Moses. No seriously, they were classmates.
