Really? So by your logic "100 possessions" means one game? Do both teams clear the floor once that happens? Is the game over?

You don't know the term "per 100 possessions".It's a benchmark, measurement number, that can be used as a basis, to measure a players value on both ends of the court.

A key tenet for many modern basketball analysts is that basketball is best evaluated at the level of possessions. During a single game, both teams have approximately the same number of possessions, because they alternate possession. (A team can have slightly more if it begins and ends a quarter or half with possession.) However, over the course of the season, teams play at very different paces, which can dramatically color their points scored and points allowed per game. Therefore, these analysts favor use of points scored per 100 possessions (Offensive Rating) and points allowed per 100 possessions (Defensive Rating).

So what? The object is to win the game, not go home after 100 possessions.

If Okafor was this great presence on the court "per 100 possessions" as you and these magical stats claim, then why does he have sooooo many BAD games?

So what? What does that even mean. This is pointless,if you can't understand a players value by looking at numbers.Who said anything about "great",now you're putting words in my mouth.

For the same reason that so many people here have bad posts? It's all about perception and unless you are Jerry West or someone else equally gifted with an intuitive understanding of basketball Statistics offer a way for everyone else to get a better understaning of what's really going on in games.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

It means, until you show me a season where exactly 100 possessions takes place in every game then, I don't give 2 sh*ts about this stupid stat.

I think you missed a comma and a period along the way.

I'm waiting for some business owner to say, "Until you show me a year where every employee works exactly 40 hours a week then I don't give 2 sh*ts about their stupid salaries."

I guess you don't care about those stupid points per game or rebounds per game stats either since nobody ever plays every minute of every game throughout the season?
