Diaw played pretty good all-around game today in an upset against Spain.

AWESOME!! The better to raise his trade value to the next team that wants to take a flier on this very average player.

Just to be clear, he has very much above average skills - it's his application that is the thing that seems to be very average.

It wasn't that good

Just played the role of a decent big body and facilitator and didn't let the fat slow him down too much. Marc Gasol was in foul trouble for most of the game and it was just an ugly game through the first 3 quarters anyways. Still, just thought I'd throw it out there.

People say DJ can't finish because he gets 21% of his "close" attempts blocked.
You say Jerryd can finish yet he gets 20% of his "close" attempts blocked.



So either DJ also qualifies as "one of the best finishers in the game" or Jerryd isn't a very good finisher. I'm thinking you're wrong in this situation

Agreed on the skills. I mostly focus on results versus skills; performance versus the shine on the car.

I'm not sure where those numbers came from anyway. 82games says DJ gets blocked on 29% to Jerryd's 20% of inside shots. DJ shoots .411 inside, Bayless .515.

To be clear, neither of those are good. But DJ is actually amongst the worst inside scorers in the league. Bayless is still below-average though.
