espn article about jordan and bobcats

very good stuff. amazing the difference a year makes. amazing the difference of having an owner that cares and understands the community and is engaged vs that moron bob johnson.

mj has definitely exceeded my expectations so far as an owner. he has done everything right so far (from a non basketball point of view).

Great piece.

Those numbers (ticket renewals etc) are so impressive. I have to wonder which has the biggest influence on them:

Jordan buying the team or the team making the playoffs?

Either way, MJ is obviously doing great things. Just got to hope that what the team does on the court can keep pace with him.

Oh, and I am STOKED they have put changing the name on the back burner. I'm all about the Bobcats name.

Still wouldn't mind a colour change to black, white, silver and gold though!!

I would disagree, i don't like the saints color scheme, besides I think the hornets already have alternates in the saints colors, and besides if we picked that colorscheme up, we would be thought of as boring as the spurs. IMO Panthers got one of the better color schemes and jerseys in the league, and if that was applied to a basketball jersey it would be even better

Stun the Saints color scheme is one of the best in the league. Carolina really has bad colors. It's like a sky blue, who wears sky blue shirts? You can't go wrong with the black and gold.

Doesn't almost everyone wear sky blue shirts?

It's not especially interesting, but I don't know how it could be called "bad." THIS is bad:

And here's why: I like the uniforms.

Black gold and white is mad generic to me, just personal prefrence, i think the colors repersent the area more, and are more unique, and would make better basketball jerseys... heres an example

IMO they are mad ugly

If Australia had a national American Football team, they would wear something like that.

Tragic.

Let me introduce you to lizard-skin themed pants.

Image

MJ should take this a step further:

Image

Leopard "Bobcat" spotted themed top and bottom with shoes that have claws embroidered on them. We might look silly but it'll keep teams distracted.

That lizard-skin pattern isn't a half bad idea... never thought of patterns being incorporated other than pin-stripes.

I'm fine with our current jerseys/colors though. I think they made the right choice making that stone blue the main color instead of shopping cart gatherer orange.

A leopard print would be unique, I have to give it that. Maybe it would work, I've never seen it tried before.

The panthers' powder blues are disgusting (in a great way). They look fantastic from the stands.

I like just about all of the Oregon jerseys, including the neon yellow and the funky green. Those TCU uniforms are cool too. I love the All black that my school does every once in awhile and think a black, blue, and white scheme would look good-- though it wouldn't fit very well with the Bobcats.

I absolutely love the OSU alternates: Image

And think that'd be a good color scheme for the Cats. Hell, you could even make Walt happy and put a little camo-ish pattern in the gray since it's pseudo military in it's own right.

This color scheme would be beyond awesome IMO. It's basically what we started with except the colors are faded. A Euro/soccer style design in this color scheme would give the Bobcats the most unique/fashion forward unis in the league.
