i would say that weve never had a player explode out of nowhere that gave us an unpredicted boost to finish above predictions and despite crash missing games each year we've never really had a year where we got rocked by injuries to our core group that cause us to lose a ton more that expected (and we've always had a dont tank mentality even when we did face losing).

Fats, I agree, with the exception of last season and Jax. I was generally down on our prospects for the playoffs, and my predictions were for us to be 10th or slightly worse. We were certainly headed in that direction until we were GIFTED by the trade for a talented player not happy in his situation. So we got him for 30 cents on the dollar. So I say Jax came and turned a likely dismal season into our first playoff berth.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

our collective predictions for last season

fatlever: 38 wins
slam: 41 wins
ttf: 41 wins
dexmore: 8th seed
rich: 30 wins (wow, mr negativity) ;)
bass: 36 wins
tsherkin: 35-40 wins

we didnt finish too far away from where many of us predicted (except rich who wasnt even close). ...maybe 5-6 games better that what we expected.

Jackson is still on the team. Crash is still on the team. Diaw and T2 are still around. Mohhamed is a year older but we have Kwame who is at least something. Augustine is really the only question mark, and I have really high hopes for him.
