Is Boris Diaw a fantasy player?

Post#1 » by ChampionRed » Thu Oct 21, 2010 1:56 pm

Hey guys, I recently saw that Boris Diaw was still available for my fantasy league and I was wondering if any of you guys think he would be a good pick up. Thanks in advance!

Last year, he managed 11/5/4/0.7/0.7 in 35.4 mpg on 48.3/32.0/76.9

If he's a waiver-wire addition that you want to use to round out your team, sure... otherwise, he doesn't dominate in any particular category and doesn't really taste like a good, meaningful fantasy addition.

boris was not protected in my top 13 for my dynasty league, so that should tell you all you need to know. he is ok, but i would rather take a chance on a player with upside/breakout potential over boris who will, at best get you similar numbers to last year.

He does get a disproportionate amount of assists to go with average rebounding and scoring at the SF/PF tweener position. I think he's a triple double threat. Not a very good one, but when you average more than 5 in all three categories there will be nights where you get a triple double.
