Ya, but he got pinched by a freaking lip reader!! It's not like he said anything directly to a ref.

Re: jax fined 50k
So does that mean if an NBA player goes home after a game and has a conversation with his wife that goes like this:
Wife - How was the game dear?
Player - You know, I was happy with my game. We lost but it had more to do with the refs than with us. I mean, they were just plain horrible. If I didn't know any better I would say they were on the take.
Wife - Sorry to hear that dear.
Then the wife phones the NBA offices and tells Stern about the conversation that the player would receive a $50k fine for disrespecting the game?
What a crock of **** this fine Jax got is.

Re: jax fined 50k
There's a set of rules for all NBA players, and there's a set of rules for Stephen Jackson.
The attention on him - and the lack of calls he'll receive - is only exacerbated now that Rasheed retired, and Iverson is overseas. Those aren't random names, either.
However, this doesn't change the fact that Jack is a notoriously slow starter and he's clearly not playing very well right now. Frustration, losing, and increased punishment = recipe for disaster.

Re: jax fined 50k
Don't get me wrong, 99% of the time he deserves what he gets because he runs his trap on the court and remonstrates with the refs wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much. It's not by chance he attracts the attention of the refs, he's brought it on himself, but this 50k fine for lip reading? That's insane.
Thankfully the NBA haven't found people who can read minds..................yet.

The way i see it,they missed handing out a $50,000 fine the 1st 3 times so they waited for him to move his lips after he picked up his next foul.
It was coming sooner or later.
