Re: GT Nov 6th Charlotte Vs Orlando 7:00PM
Can't believe Doris logged 37 minutes tonight.LB you suck.
That last out of bounds play...i didn't catch all of it but from what i saw it was pathetic.
Positive....Crash looked good out there, could this be the turning point of the season for him
Oh yeah, it was DJ's sh*t in the bed performance tonight that cost us the game.

DJ's man Duhon goes off for 4, we lose by 3. He deserves all the criticism we can give.

if DJ played with more energy, Boris would be more into the game and would contest Rashard's 3 pointers more effectively. Thanks a lot DJ

Golly, sure would be nice if we didn't commit so many TOs.

We had more turn overs than blocks, steals and three point shots made combined.
We seemed to get called for a hell of a lot of offensive fouls tonight.

Anyone else cringe whenever Diop makes a pass? I never thought I'd say this but, c'mon Kwame Brown, we need you buddy.

Not as much as I do when he faces up from 15-17 feet at the top of the key looking to take a jump shot or as much as I do when he steps to the line to shoot free throws.

Re: GT Nov 6th Charlotte Vs Orlando 7:00PM
from the rafters 2010 edition:
- diop is simply awful. every second he is on the floor we are at a major disadvantage. we cannot win if he plays anything more than emergency minutes. its 4 on 5 on offense. why does LB use diop on the pick and roll. its not like you can give him the ball on the roll. and he shouldnt be allowed to pass, but that could be said about half the roster.
- jax and boris are too unselfish and its killing the offense. both have the ability to make flashy passes that make you say "wow". unfortunately, both also careless with the ball, leading to awful turnovers and they both consistently pass up good shots in favor of a worse pass. we are used to this with boris but it seems jax has taken over as the teams leader in this area. sometimes they made the wrong pass that luckily led to a basket, but it doesnt make it a good pass. its nice to be lucky sometimes but eventually that will run out. sadly, jax and boris have rubbed off on the rest of the team who are also making risky passes and passing up open shots in order to pass and driving into the lane when the lane is clogged. i blame alot of this on LB who has preached to the team about making the extra pass and driving the paint. the team is going overboard.
- i dont remember duhon being so awful. he stinks.
- i wish would could steal bass and gortat for our team.
- boris was just terrible tonight on offense. just plain awful. he did play some good man to man defense on howard at the end though.
- jax again was awful except for all of about 5 minutes. strangely he was fantastic in those 5 minutes. seems this is turning into a trend with jax. sorry, but it is not acceptable for him to only show up for 5 mins, even if he is great during that time.
- thought both dj and livingston looked pretty good tonight. livingston made a couple of ridiculous turnovers but overall he was solid.
- nellie was at the game. is he still part owner?

Re: GT Nov 6th Charlotte Vs Orlando 7:00PM
Fats, we get it, you blame LB for everything.
You weren't complaining last year when we went 41-29 after starting the season 3-9. It's not his fault, the team is just a horrible mish mash of similar skill sets and we have a terrible bench. Throw in no post game and no play maker at the point, well my friend that is a recipe for a 1-5 team. It's amazing we even have one win.
What the hell can Larry do when we have no post players with Boris and Nazr in the starting lineup?? We have a soft point guard who refuses to take it into the lane and he's mediocre on defense. For a runt, you would think She-J would have more than 3 steals on the season which is kind of pathetic considering he doesn't do much other than hitting the occasional jump shot. What's Larry to do??? We have terrible passers, inconsistent outside shooters and Wallace has been gimpy.
I don't get the LB hate because his bread and butter is defense and all we see are players on the opposing team getting easy baskets in the paint. That is on the players because you know LB's defensive system works, it's just up to the players to give the effort. Then you blame almost everything on Jax who's been asked to do more ball handling because you want your most aggressive player on the perimeter to handle the ball. DJ has not been aggressive except for maybe 3 possessions in a game so that requires Jax to facilitate the offense.
Turnovers happen. Look at all the great perimeter players, they commit lots of turnovers because they take more chances and they're aggressive. The problem is we're not getting defensive stops so we have to work that much harder to score just to keep up with the other team. Puts too much pressure on our offense. We cannot play bad defense and expect to win because our margin for error on offense is small. Bad defense is on the players and there's no excuse of the laziness on that end. All players have been guilty of this.
One very small bright spot tonight was I like the way Livingston was bringing the ball up the court in the second quarter. He plays a little bit more at a quicker pace than DJ and sets the offense up quicker. He also took it strong the hole a few times but couldn't finish. Those will come once he gets his legs under him after missing all of training camp. I noticed when Livingston picked up the pace when he came in the entire team started to become more aggressive on offense. I also noticed that when DJ came in at the end of the second he played a little quicker too. Probably because he watched how much quicker Livingston brought the ball up. DJ then continued to provide a quicker pace in the second half which was much better.
What bothers me about DJ is that he plays passive through first 40 minutes of the game then turns it on at the end and starts taking it into the lane. Where the F were you all game? Obviously with his quickness he can beat guys off the dribble but for some reason he never tries to until the game is out of reach. I don't get it. We saw Livingston go hard into the lane and you can see with him that he is always looking for that opening as soon as he brings the ball upcourt. With DJ all he does is look to make that pass and then lazily jog into the corner where he's pretty much done for that possession. Shaun moves around more and is always trying to get open. Once he gets his legs under him and can finish at the rim then this offense will open up. God I hope it's soon.
Oh and DJ must go.

Re: GT Nov 6th Charlotte Vs Orlando 7:00PM
I quite agree with Battery on this one, I think we can blame LB for ruining our future but not for us losing games. I think that our biggest problem is our lack of interior offense, more than our PG problems, because it basically means that we have to rely solely on our guards to score, which means that whenever they're not playing extremely well, we're sure to lose.
I'm a bit more optimistic though, I think all this can be solved, even with the team as it is right now. Once DJ becomes more comfortable with his new role I think we'll see some much better things. That is, if we start defending like we did last year of course.

Who insisted on drafting TJ when everybody in the front office wanted Lopez? Thank you. I told you guys this would happened as soon Larry came in. How many of you would rather have this roster than the one larry inherited? Keep in mind we would have drafted lopez without larry. Yeah we made the playoffs last year, but at what cost?

To be honest, I probably wouldn't want either roster. Everyone says we would have drafted Lopez instead of DJ if Larry wasn't around, how do we know MJ wanted him? I assume at that time MJ was not a big fan of Felton and that heavily influenced the decision to take DJ. Otherwise why would we even be looking at point guard in that draft. And the decision to not offer Ray a contract this summer shows MJ was never really a big fan of his. Also, MJ is not a big fan of centers. He never played on a team with a good center and then first chance he gets with the Bobcats he dumps Okafor. So I would say MJ was the one who didn't want to take Lopez.

That logic is PHENOMENAL.
He doesn't like Centers because he traded Okafor..... for a.... Center?

You do need a warm body to man the position and play defense. Lopez is an offensive center, not a defensive one. Chandler is strictly a defensive center which is what MJ wants out of that position. In other words, a center should be there to just clean up and not be a focal point of an offense.

According to every report that came out after that draft, DJ was larry's choice. The FO even went as far as to call lopez's agent and informed him that they will select Lopez he was still there. But larry demanded they take DJ. And how many times did read bonnell write that part of the reason Emeka was trded was because he did not fit larry's style. Even mj talked about that in his last interview with the observer.
Sure, mj hates centers so much that his firt pick ever was kwame Brrown. Try again.
