I think he did, but he didn't change anything, left the same 5 out there to screw around until the lead got to 17.

And here I was last night thinking 11pts in an entire quarter was embarrassing.

Foolish me.

that loss wasn't even the team it was Larry Brown keeping in Tyrus and Livingston till it killed us, we could have won this if we had gone with the same lineup from most of the third. Derrick Brown has got to start taking all of Mcguires minutes atleast then were getting development out of this trainwreck!

We were strong for 3/4 of the game. Then forgot how to play. Just bad, but at least not another 33 pt loss! Gotta find the silver lining.

just a note, unrelated to any specific game:

a despairing coach is no coach at all. if you have a coach who spends his news conference lamenting players who are not there, team abilities that are not there, effort that is not there, then that coach has no business being in charge of the team anymore. there are plenty of grown men out there who have energy to put into getting the pieces of this roster, no matter how flawed they are, into the best position to compete night in and night out. i am sick of this woe is me crap from LB. so sick of it.

grow a set and quit. you got enough money, walk away!

but that is not LB's style, destroy a franchise then get paid to leave. seems like ground hogs day

This whole talk about LB not making the needed adjustments in the 4th is hilarious. It's like we had some hidden gems rotting on the bench whose presence on court would have changed the outcome of the game drastically. LB's never been good at making in-game adjsutments (he never does) but as ohara pointed out, the (defensive) effort was decent for 3 quarters (mostly due to Collins in the game actually...) there were several luck shots that went down as well (Jackson, Collins) and then we broke down. These players are just terrible and unable to sustain a high level of play throughout a game.
Did you see Tyrus tonight ? He looked like hot garbage. Seems that any combination of players would have led to a collapse sooner or later because there's simply not enough talent in there to put the ball in the hole and opposite teams as bad as they play for stretches have to make runs at some point.

I haven't been able to watch our games for about a week (and won't for another week), but I just want to say that these game threads are really beyond depressing... the shift goes from "we're probably going to lose" to "LOL look at us losing" to "omg maybe a win? Nah we'll mess it up" to "we are the worst ever I hate everything."

I don't even know why I bother going to these games anymore, this team is a complete waste of money.

Kwame Brown - C
Boris Diaw - PF
Stephen Jackson - SF
Matt freaking Carroll - SG ?????????????
She-J - PG

Lord have mercy you have to be kidding me. I rushed to get to the arena tonight because I was actually looking forward to us taking on Durant. And what do I see when I get to my seat? Matt freaking Carroll getting introduced as a starter!! A starter!! Matt freaking Carroll!! So I knew I was in for a big treat of suckitude tonight.

Well the first good thing tonight was the waterboy Carroll didn't play much, must still be pulling the splinters out of his ass from all the time on the pine last year with Dallas.

The second good thing was DJ getting 2 quick fouls which saved me from watching those 2 stiffs for the rest of the first half.

The third good thing was Collins, he in all of his pudgy Bojangles chicken eating glory actually looked like an NBA player tonight. That was a helluva good job on defense by him. He's still a work in progress running the point on offense, but he kept us in the game and did a very good job I thought. Way to man up on D and actually get in FRONT of your man! You hear that She-J? Get in front of your man!!!

The fourth good thing was this game was over 3 minutes into the 4th quarter which allowed me to get the hell of there early and go get something to eat. I hate the regular concession food, only eat food there when I get the free club seats with the fancy food which unfortunately wasn't tonight. The food at the arena definitely matches the quality of food in Charlotte....HORRIBLE!! No offense to you native Charlotteans, but the food in this city tastes worse than the Bobcats play. ugh

The fifth good thing is that we're tracking towards the lottery and my wet dream of seeing Michael Jordan introducing Kyrie Irving as the newest member of the Bobcats in June is looking better and better every day.

So all in all it wasn't a bad night.

Well stated mago.

Say what you will about Brown being the architect of the roster and the FO for being too inept/emasculated to tell Brown no - this is all valid.

And I'll also never argue that his substitution patterns and stubborn devotion to players who are hacks but "play the right way" is sickening.

I'm the first person that will be happy to see him leave.

But suggesting that Brown is single handedly losing games via his coaching decisions is ridiculous. This team's shortcoming is, and always has been deficiency of talent.

The only way to sufficiently address this is to strip the roster, be patient, suck bad, draw a top 5 pick, and not botch it.

There are no panacea shortcut trades that are going to allow them to sidestep this reality, no matter how much MJ and some fans may wish it so.

What's wrong with the food? When I went to a Hornets game SEVERAL years ago (Playoffs vs. Miami, game three) there was this one place that had some extraordinary wings. EXTRAORDINARY. I was a little kid and I probably ate 25. Plus, Bojangles man, it's everywhere. You can't go wrong with fried, processed chicken.

I didn't get to see this game but LOL @ Collins getting minutes. That's just depressing (yes, I read he played well BUT if we're having to resort to him at this point...). I'd rather put Sean May on the court with a donut in each hand.

On the bright side, at least we have nearly as many wins as Panther losses.

gotta say, collins wasnt half bad last night. seemed like the stint in nbdl did him some good. like battery mentioned, defensively he was pretty solid.

not sure what was up with tyrus last night. his shot was just off.

though ups had some nice mintues.

henderson still looks like another massive lottery bust for this franchise.

Collins was good defensively and he took the shots he was supposed to. He even made some
