It's great for Washington because they were able to find someone dumb enough to take Arenas. Now they can let Wall develop without Gilbert around and they get a good veteran presence in Lewis to help in the rebuilding process.

Arenas was a great player and is still at least a good player with a bad contract, maybe a very good player with a bad contract. We'll find out with the rest of this season.

Chucking point guards who score lots of points with bad shooting percentages does not make a player "great." Arenas was a good player but far far far from great. Great players make their teammates better and elevate their team as a whole to play better, Arenas was more in the selfish category. Now he's just another player with a terrible contract who's producing much less and hasn't played a full season since 06-07.

Also, it should be interesting to see how this clown meshes with Howard and can he be coached by SVG who is VERY demanding. I can see Agent A-Hole not getting along with SVG because he demands defense first, not selfish me first basketball which Arenas specializes in. This has a chance to be an epic disaster and I have a feeling it will cost Otis Smith his job, and Howard will end up going elsewhere. Might work during the season, but once playoffs come, Arenas and JRich will be disasters.

You undervalue how good he was before. And throwing **** around like "makes their teammates better" that you can't actually show anything for doesn't make sense. Yes, Dwight makes his teammates better in that he defends for them. Rondo gets **** of assists. The guy was easily a top 10 PG.

arenas doent have to play pg, so bringing up "chucking pgs" is irrelevant in this case. he just has to make open jumps shots and create some offense at the end of shot clocks and in crunch time and funnel his man towards howard on defense.

i would be much more concerned about hedo and orlando's super thin frontcourt than i would be concerned about arenas. as for contracts, i would much rather have arenas than lewis.

Sorry not a fan of nor was I ever a fan of Gilbert Arenas. I put this moron in the same category as Stephon Marbury. Selfish me first chuckers who provide no leadership and think everything revolves around them. Good luck winning with that.

Orlando fan here and saw the thread...I honestly don't think Jameer is available, at least not this season. If Arenas works out and we extend Richardson MAYBE. But anyhow, I wanted to see what you guys thought about a deal for Nazr. A lot of us think he might be a good option if we could pick him up for the right price. What do you guys value him as and would you be willing on taking back longer contracts?

It''d take more than you're willing to offer.

Why on Earth would we want to take back longer contracts unless it was for a significant upgrade - which you can not provide?

Just to help the Magic out???
