Great win! Much needed. DJ continuing to look like a different player under Silas, Jax scoring good, but needs to get his FG% up. Congrats to Silas for going 2-0.

Who would we use for the other minuetes ey? Derrick Brown? I dont think soo... we need a good starting SF, one who can play the majority of the time.....

Uhh, Wallace was playing 4th most in the league last year or something. It's not so much to ask him to play 3-4 less minutes a game...

Dude how would that help at all?? If he struggles in 38mpg how will he be any better in say 34mpg???? I want the bobcats to grab a definite go-to-guy who can also be a solid future player, a guy like TWill, TWill you see not only can play productively on Offense in the scoring department but can pass and rebound.... In other words he would be a perfect replacement for a depleted Wallace... In other words the riegn of Wallace is over, he literally is not the best at anything on the team anymore, not the best shooter, rebounder (close though but I have to give it to McGuire), defender (Gana can defend!), or ect..... He really doesnt even add a new dimension to the Cats game... We need a guy that can and will for years, now whether we look to the draft for that guy or make a trade is up for grabs, but we need that "guy"

Terrence Williams isn't that guy. Not for Wallace, at least.
Humble yourself.

I'm pretty happy with this win considering we got nothing out of Diaw and Crash.

Couldnt make the trade if that is what you mean? Trust me TWill could eventually more than fill Wallaces role... He leads the D-league in all 3 major catagories points: 28, rebounds 10, assists 10. Im not saying that he will be the new crash, rather I'm saying that he would clearly make the team better especially in the long run... He has All-Star caliber and is very versitile....

On the other hand a guy like Terrence Jones could be the next Danny Granger.... or a guy like Sullinger the next Duncan, or a guy like Alec Burks the next Paul Pierce....

TWill hasn't played a D League game since the 5th. He only played three total.

 now I feel like a dumbass, still he's a great player (sadly we would have to send DJ to grab him, which at this point is unreasonable)

You're still undervaluing Crash, in my opinion. McGuire being a "better rebounder" is essentially meaningless, the guy sucks at everything else. He shouldn't be on the court much at all. You need to give wallace the same chance we've given DJ under Silas. Wallace finished on the break pretty well tonight. That's his bread and butter offensively and it's been mostly missing with Larry Brown controlling things.

No, rather I actually like Crash, but I am a young team guy, like the Celtics give me the hebe jebes even though they are great.... I love young talented prospects, or guys who are in their prime and not in their decline...

I wish that Silas had been our coach since the start of the season. There has been a significant up tick in my GT creation win to loss ratio since he came on board.

I was not able to see the game, so I'm catching up via the GT review and box score/wrap. Nice win against a lousy team, but clearly Chris Paul was right about DJ needing to be turned loose. He's making his case for becoming a near untouchable in this group. Jax with a monster game, but I agree it appears we didn't get nearly enough balance from the others. Another decently productive game from Diop (did Kwame eat the new coaching staff's lunch or something?). Either Diop is being showcased or they really want to see if he's part of the solution here. So far he's showing he can be a solid reserve. Henderson with minor burn, and nobody else off the bench did much of anything.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

He's 28. Not 38.

i am really hoping that all this diop showcasing will pay off and we can convince someone to take diop for pretty much anything

maybe it is the comfort level with Diop for Silas. I believe Silas drafted Diop (if not coached him very early)

Rather I think its just that he is giving him a chance, I doubt that LB was willing to really work with Diop...

thats what i was thinking. i had a feeling silas would play diop more, just because he always showed a tendency to play big (almost always having a true center on the floor and a true pr on the floor) when he was the hornets coach (granted those teams were stacked up front: mason, campbell, coleman, brad miller, magloire, pj brown etc...).

that being said, as well as diop played last night (which for him was good, but for anyone else would have been rather sad) i just dont see how he deserves minutes ahead of kwame. the best thing diop did was tap some rebounds.
