Guys, wasn't able to see this game, or even check stats yet...just followed your thread to catch up.

Tell me this (unerstanding the injury issues): Against a superior team, our weaknesses (and weakest players) are more readily exposed. Based on tonight's game, name those weaknesses and weak links. Thanks.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

It's not so much anyone was specifically weak because we were playing the Heat. Wade and especially LBJ just hit some unbelievable shots. And I mean jaw droppers.

We went 10mins without hitting a basket, but when you take into consideration we were missing our second best offensive player and our best offensive center it's pretty easy to see why.

We missed about 10 shots in close that we 100% should have made. And I mean bunnies.

Honestly, we didn't play that poorly. We were just seriously undermanned and two of their three stars were seriously hot.

Shotmaking.

We didn't have Crash, and Boris was in foul trouble. Rebounding isn't typically an issue for us, and while we got killed on the boards, I don't consider it a problem.

The problem tonight was that we missed a bunch of shots, including a bunch in a row, and that took us from up 5 to down 15 in the space of 10 minutes.

That was game over. LeBron made everything he shot in the 2nd half.

Went to the game tonight, also went to the Celtics and it's not even up for debate. First of all, Miami has no real fans. They only have Dolphins fans. Celtics fans that were here are people who are originally from Boston and grew up with the Celtics. All Boston teams have tons of actual fans where ever they travel. Just like NY. Tonight there were "Heat Fans," but these were more like Lebron fans or fans just wanting to come out and see the next big thing, mainly fans who go to one game all season. But still even with that, there were waaaaaaaaay more Celtics fans in attendance when they were here and they were much louder. Real die hard Celtics fans, not these phony Heat fans who will be gone the moment Lebron and Wade call it a career.

Nice to see the arena sold out, but there were a lot of the corporate types who only go to one game a season. My cousin got us the club seats for this game and even the club seats were all filled up and that NEVER happens. Usually have an entire club section to ourselves but not tonight and they were eating up all of the fancy food, the line was so long and it was so crowded in there that I almost missed the opening tip. :x I also hate that b*tch who checks you into the food area. I think she hates white people. Thought they would fire her angry ass after last season, but no she's back and wreaking havoc once again.

Charlotte, while certainly not one of the 5 worst teams in the NBA, is still firmly entrenched in its JV league (which would be fine if we were actually building towards something instead of just floundering there).

We were without Wallace of course. But, despite what some of our more homerish fans may think, this is not the reason they lost the game.

The Heat are just a vastly superior ball club.

Even with a healthy Wallace, Charlotte loses this game 9 times out of 10.

 I've gone to all the MIA @ CLT games since I moved up here a few years ago, as I have no interest in watching the Bobcats play. They just aren't my team and never will be, even though I now live here, I am and will forever be a Heat fan.

But, I did see a WAY LOT MORE Heat jerseys last night than I have the past 2 years when I've attended games @ TWC Arena. :D

It comes with the territory, though. How many NYY and LAD fans are really "fans" and not just "fans" because they are popular teams to follow?

The Heat need to build a fanbase, a solid one at that, and if it takes the big 3 to do it, then hell let's hope it does that. lol

NYY? Yankees? People hate the Yankees. People hate the Heat. I guess it's a good comparison. People also hate the Lakers, but they're just jealous. The Yankees (and now the Heat) are known for being shady customers.

The Yankees have a storied franchise and a history of winning for a long time, especially by overspending over the past decade and a half. Miami on the other hand, has a short history and didn't overspend to put this current team together, something the Yankees do year in and year out that frustrates fans alike.

I'm not naive and know that a lot of it has to do with the ever polarizing figure that LeBron is, and people hating on him (in turn it goes to the Heat) for reasons they don't even know why but just do so because everyone is doing it.

BTW - I am no Yankees fan (Marlins, I know laugh lol), but shady because of what? Overspending to sign players in a sport they are allowed the luxury to do that?

The difference is that Miami's shadiness comes from the alleged collusion that happened well before discussion was allowed. Also, LeBron is a very hateable guy. He looks like a muppet, and cries at least once in every game.
