Another stat that I think that would be interesting if anyone had access to it would be how many T's we had under LB and how many we have under Coach Silas.

I don't blame everyone for being excited, but it has only been 8 games, including 4 against the bottom 6 of the NBA (plus a below-average Warriors team that beat us). The Bulls win is a big one, but if we lose 3 of our next 4, as I think we are likely to do, these stats might start looking pretty pedestrian again.

Definitely something like technicals is not going to be a provable difference for another 20 games.

Thing is though Paydro below average teams like the Sixers and Wizards were blowing us out by 30 under LB and we were lucky to score 50 points for an entire game as opposed to scoring it in a half now.

The body language of the team was terrible and players weren't being allowed the freedom to play to their strengths. Even if we don't keep this pace or close to it for the rest of the season, there is no doubt we are an improved team today Vs before Christmas.

Definitely something like technicals is not going to be a provable difference for another 20 games.

Sure, but if all of a sudden Jax stops committing them then it's just another indicator that our previous coach had an inability to connect to players - which was costly on and off the court.

here is dj in 8 games under silas

PPG: 19.9
RPB: 2.4
APG: 7.1
TPG: 1.8

DJ under brown

PPG: 12.6
RPG: 3.3
APG: 6.0
TPG: 1.6

So his rebounds have gone down, while he has picked up a few cheap points and assists. Awful.
Trade him for Eric Snow.

^I think it's more to do with DJ "receiving" the rebound and pushing the pace/tempo. As opposed to him getting into position to grab missed shots, dribble up the court, do that awkward spin move and running down the 24 second shot clock to 1 second.

I hope it was obvious that I was being sarcastic and having a laugh at the posters who were demanding to trade DJ.

I'm a big fan of DJ's and am glad he is finally getting a chance to flourish.

But remember its always DJ's fault.

I think Marvel was just a little tipsy. And if you read this Marvel, you should totally back me up on that.

Not really stats, more a comparison from some of the players POV's:

A New Day in Charlotte - New head coach Paul Silas provides fresh change.

Again, not a stat, just a really telling statement IMO:

Brown was a relentless fixer. For instance, when Raja Bell wouldn't drive, Brown would insist Bell improve his dribbling. Silas tends more to live with people's flaws and emphasize their strengths.

I´m sure a lack of tight handles was the only thing holding Raja back from being a Lebronesque terror when going to the hoop. Too bad he ignored LB´s sage advice.

What kind of loony looks at Raja Bell and thinks "He should drive more,"

Madness...
