I know the lock put already started but I didn't see another trade thread and didn't want to start one. What do you think of this Diop & Najera for Rip?

Doesn't really fit our rebuilding. At the moment we are right to tank next year and develop our youth.

Rip would take time away from Hendo and is more of a win now player.

Would do Diop + Mags for Rip and a draft pick. Play Rip at SF. His salary expires the same year as Mags. Probably find a team mid-season willing to take him for peanuts (ex: Dallas).

As a Pistons fan I hear you about rebuilding and playing the youth, I was just wondering. As far as Diop, Maggs plus a draft pick? WOW, no thanks. I'd do a Rip for Mags & Najera, No rebuilding team would or should trade pick to dump players.

Or trade for over price veterens especially without receiving a pick. Rip is not necessary for our rebuilding.

1. No incentive to do Detroit a solid and take Hamilton.
2. Najera's contract is off the books in 2012.
3. Hamilton takes time away from developing prospects.
4. At this point in their careers, Maggette > Hamilton.

The Clippers dumped a draft pick to get rid of Baron Davis last year. Those trades happen. Like I said, there's no incentive for us to help Detroit and we're not going to do another Nazr-esque trade.
