This is getting weird.

Next BigSlam will become a teatotaller and Fats will change his username to DemarDerozan

No that is not what I'm saying. Of course I want DJ dealt but not right now unless we get back a veteran point guard. The trade deadline I believe is March 13 so I either want him traded then or at the end of the season. Kemba still has sooooo much to learn and the last thing you want is him becoming Brandon Jennings, just non-stop chucking and poor decision making.

The only way to get better is through practice and preparation. Right now he's just clueless as to how to run a team, so instead he resorts to dominating the ball and chucking. He needs to learn how to play within the team concept and that happens through practice practice practice.

My boy Gilly would make a perfect mentor for Kemba.

Kemba isn't one of these super young big name freshman. He worked his way up the UConn depth chart from the 3rd PG his first year to unquestioned go-to guy last year on the way to a National Championship.

I don't think he's going to fall apart at the slightest hint of adversity. It's obvious he has the killer mentality, and that should serve him well going forward. I don't think a slow approach is best for him.

It's not the Kemba Walker show. The Kemba Walker show in college gets you far, in the NBA it gets you the toilet. Some day my young Padowan you will understand.

I am calling win here. Even though i cant remember the Bobcats win an away game in Miami, i think this is winnable. I've got some money left from a NFL bet, so i will put 500$ on the Cats.

nice bet!

I agree with you on this, there is no rush to start the rookies, Kemba is doing fine in 20 minutes a game.
We also have to try and get the maximum return for Dj, so lets shop him for a bit.

Right. What we should do is put him on the bench and give him 10 minutes a night, max, because we all know he has no history of handling high pressure situations. Oh wait.

You sound like one of those moms who won't let their kids play football because it's too violent for their dainty little bones.

Keeper for the bench, definitely. I'm not crazy about him as a starter, there's not a lot of other starting PFs that he matches up favorably against IMO.

Yeah I just meant as a keeper in general, he has proven that he can produce as a starter & off the bench, obviously he is preferable off the bench.

We could lock him up longterm for pretty cheap.

Better yet, you sign Gilbert and name Allen Iverson to the newly created "Swag Assistant" position.

I'm sorry but I think that's Kemba's future regardless of what we attempt to teach him. He's going to be the little chucker that could. Jason Terry 2.0 or something like that. I mean, that's not bad for the 9th overall pick in a weak draft but it's not a golden toilet either.

Let's take a look at the next (half) month of the season

1/2--OFF (travel from MIA to CLE)
1/3--game
1/4--game
1/5--OFF (travel from NY to ATL)
1/6--game
1/7--game
1/8--OFF (travel from IND to NY)
1/9--game
1/10--game
1/11--OFF (travel from HOU to ATL)
1/12--game
1/13--game
1/14--game

You see those 3 sets of back-to-backs, and one back-to-back-to-back?.... in just the next two weeks? Yeah, I don't know about you but I bet they're going to be going HARD in practice on those off days. Let's hold off on his minutes so he can get some valuable learnin'

Not sure where that came from but during the game I heard (czech) commentator supposedly quoting Silas that Bobcats will be able to held only 3 proper trainings in whole January.

I wouldn't be surprised if we'd lose every single one of these games.

Cheers mate.

Where do you live? Australia? If so, it's a 16 hour time difference from Charlotte to Sydney/Melbourne. So 6pm est start here means 10am start time by you.

10am :o

If you live in Perth the start time is 7am. Adelaide is 9:30am

Yep I live in Australia & yep it's a 10am start, great way to start the day.

Talking about the timezone difference I actually get up at 7am a lot of the time just to converse with you gentlemen.

Saddest thing is that when I go back to work i'll probably miss most of the games :x   :-? :(

I live in Melbourne, so yeah I just basically always look at it as a 4 hour difference. I really enjoy the aspect of being able to wake up and get too see games throughout the day. I'm going to UNI this year so am going to buy league pass allthough it's damn expensive.

You going to buy International league pass or just look for streaming sites to watch all NBA games?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Lets just say that I don't need league pass ;)

I have a great view, you could say it's the first row.

PM if you want to know.
