Wow.... Wilson Chandler is good but hes not great, which is why we should avoid him, I would rather that we draft say Harrison Barnes then pickup Chandler....
Basically here is why:

1. Distribution of Talent in the Draft: The draft is stacked at the PF and SF spots, we need SF's more then PF's (T2 and White will still be on contract likely not to mention Biz and Mullens who can play the 4), and while drafting a PF seems like it could happen I would like to point out that White has played well this year, meanwhile Magette has seemed terrible, I would rather draft Barnes..

2. Barnes will be cheaper with much more potential

3. Wilson Chandler will likely not want to come to Charlotte anyways

This draft isn't particularly stacked with SFs

I would be happy with Chandler but not at that price.

Yeah I thought we had already agreed no moderate price free agents until we have a star on the roster. You guys are in to big of a hurry to get good. If we have to pick top three for the next two years that is perfactly alright. Save the cap space until a no brainer falls into our laps.

If by "no brainer" you mean a superstar... I don't think as a lottery and small market team, a superstar would sign with us, let along just falls into our laps. Also, you just can't rebuild by just tanking for picks (Wolves, Kings, Wizards). You need proven veterans as well.

Snidely: I think $8-9 million is a fair price for Wilson. Wilson is as good if not better then some of the players out there like Afflalo ($7.5MM), Thorton ($9MM), Granger ($13MM), Gay ($15+).

I still think the Knicks are dumb for trading Gallo and Chandler for stall artist Carmelo. Those guys were much more suited for D'Antoni's style and both, especially Gallo, are starting to look like break out stars.

What I like about Wilson C. is, no he's not going to be the man on your team, but he's a serious matchup problem, can do a little of everything, and has that old school game that's steady as a rock.
