Stephen Curry

Post#1 » by Jester_ » Thu Feb 23, 2012 10:48 pm

Couldn't really find any trade threads, sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

How do you guys feel about Stephen Curry? He's a hometown kid, tons of potential if he can work through his nagging injuries. Would you be willing to part with your 1st for him?

If by first you meant DJ '13 Portland pick then sure, but no way in hell would we trade our top 3 pick

broken ankles Stephen Curry isnt worth throwing an entire season away for. rather take my chances in the draft

edit: just saw on the wiretap he has another foot injury lol. i guess thats that inspiration for this offer. i never pictured stephen curry as an injury prone guy. weird

Interesting. Thanks for the responses. Is there anything we could give to sweeten the deal? Maybe one of our young'ins Klay or Udoh? Or maybe we take on the Maggette contract?

I think that the 1st overall is really just what they want to go with, honestly.

assuming we were interested in curry and assuming his feet ever heal, why would we trade a valuable asset for curry? he is actually the one good player who would actually sign with us as a free agent. i'd rather hold off and try to sign him if and when he hits the market.

nobody is going to trade anything of value for curry until he can prove that he can stay healthy for a few months.

This.

I think dealing Kemba would be a possibility but I also like the idea of a possible Ellis/Curry 2.0 with Kemba playing the role of Ellis. Kemba - Curry - Hendo - Davis (granted we luck out) - Biyombo is a pretty solid team going forward. Find an actual SF (maybe Brown if he develops) to make Hendo the Super Sixth Man.

So you actually relish the idea of going to war with a 6'1 point, a 6'3 two, and a 6'4 three? I really suggest that we let Hendo do what he does best pester the crap out of nba two guards.

Small and quick, sacrifice defense for tons of shots. The Golden State offense on steroids.

If we're going to suck, we might as well be enjoyable to watch.

Curry will sign in Charlotte sooner or later or retire due to poor health. No need to trade for him.

I wouldn't trade that pick for anything short of Dwight Howard, Kevin Durant or LeBron James.

I agree, these past couple of months has showed a durability issue for him. I know the lockout affected him this season but next season he would need to show that he can sustain playing over the majority of a season.
