the only team more fitting for twill would have been the wizards.

Re: Slam, Terrance Williams released
Saw him play last night for the Kings against the Warriors. The talent is there, he just doesn't seem to use it when appropriate. Keith Smart inserted him late in the game when the Kings were mounting a comeback and trying to take the lead as lead guard b/c he didn't want GS to go iso on Isaiah Thomas like they did the last game the Warriors beat them (side note, Jimmer must really be sucking).
He basically got to the rim at will: made an easy lay up one trip, got fouled on a finger roll that should have been an And 1 but he missed it for being too fancy, and lastly the Kings should have taken the lead with his lay up off a fast break but he completely flubbed it and lost the ball after he failed to Euro-step around Dom McGuire who was set up for a likely charge (an example of his center of gravity being too high). Basically, he just gets too flashy on just about every play instead of just getting it done efficiently. Bricked a jumper and didn't even look for his shot after that so his confidence in his jumpshot must be pretty low.

Yeah, that's TWill. I drafted him in deep fantasy leagues the last three years hoping he would put it together. DIdn't happen. Lots of natural talent but is a trainwreck.

Re: Slam, Terrance Williams released
I think the primary reason he was late for practices and AWOL for meetings in Houston was out of frusteration for being buried on their bench behind guys like Budinger despite being one of their more skilled players. I'm not advocating his course of action, just explaining what seems to be the case;
He makes bone headed plays from time to time and will be prone to some off shooting nights but
when the guy plays, he typically produces. Its that simple. Now that he's finally been given some meaningful court time (about 30mpg that last two games), we can see his value: 12/12/3/2 the other evening and 16/6/5/2 on 70% shooting in the game I just finished watching tonight.
We made a mistake by not immediatly signing him once he cleared waivers and should try not to make the same mistake twice if he's available for cheap this offseason. He could be a great 25-30 mpg backup at the 2-3 spots.
