no he's not

A 6'11'' scoring big is hard to find. The Knicks just happen to have a ball hogging SF that won't share the ball(I say that with love). STAT will be traded I just don't know where. It makes sense for you guys because you lost out on Anthony Davis. STAT and Biyombo would be a really nice starting front court (one is all offense and one is all defense). You guys also have a PG that STAT could run a P&R with in Kemba. That lineup would be formidable.

I was referring more to him more as a person than as a player. As a person - he is a bum.

That said, as a player he's not that far off it. He's 30, got some serious injury flags and is pretty inconsistent.

Sure as heck isn't worth the $$$$.

Carmelo is actually a much more willing passer than people would expect. It's Stoudemire that can't conform to playing with another scorer; I think Carmelo gets the lions share of blame just because he's the better player. His streak in April was more impressive than Amare's last year when he was an MVP like player, and Melo did it with significantly less help. He's a better scorer, better rebounder, better defender, and better passer.

Besides even if he did go back to previous form what's the point? He's declining and the Bobcats are nowhere near ready to compete. Stoudemire would at best make them a treadmill team with no hope of getting a good pick. The owners don't mind rebuilding; that's often a big obstacle from teams wanting to be bad for so long, not fear of losing fans. The fans will come when a good team is in place; the team will lose money but that's for the owners to decide if they want to swallow that, and it looks like the Bobcats are willing to do that if it would be better in the long run.

Never liked him since he crapped on the Bobcats after playing for team USA about 6 years ago.

the only team I can see trading for Amare is Brooklyn. Only as they are desperate to win now, to try and justify that awful Wallace trade

I've called him Murray Stoudemire ever since he found out he had Jewish ancestry.

If you have to sell Amare to us, the **** Bobcats, then you are basically answering your own question.

No deal.

greenhughes wrote:Do you guys remember STAT last year with-out Melo when he was the go to guy and was playing Center?

He was in the MVP discussion.

STAT and Melo can't play together.
He would be your #1 option.
Biyombo would guard Centers.
Imagine a P&R between Walker and STAT.

It might have happened a year ago but the 2011/12 Amare seemed to be three years older. I actually blame D'Antoni for playing him 36-40 minutes before the Melo trade, that could have been Stat's last year of his prime. No way we want the washed-up Amare and his contract when we are rebuilding.

:o :-? Sorry No. No interest in MKG and we have better offer opportunities turning DJA into a 2012 draft pick. Also your big man is on the downside of his career. We are building. BYE

We'll see.

Jordan is your owner and that lineup I stated might be interesting to him. Heck you guys could even draft Beal and then make a run for Batum.

STAT
Biyombo
Batum
Beal
Walker

That's a playoff team in the EAST IMO.

Hey I want to see the Bobcats do well(I went to Smith for college).

Amare sucks when you factor in his no defense, poor rebounding, inconsistent effort, poor attitude, broken down body and horrific contract. What does he do well? I saw 6 foot guards blocking his shots this season.

Let's put it this way, I don't think this board would take Amar'e AND your pick for free at this point, because we couldn't amnesty Amar'e.
