brutal game. classic no-chance-from-the-tip bobcats loss. raptors got offensive rebounds at will, took it to the rim at will. saw obvious frustration from biyombo, MKG, walker. biyombo for one needs help. just comb the d-league and find the meanest guy with decent size and tell him to go nuts, foul out, get suspended, get in fights, whatever. just bring some f**king attitude please.
i paid a lot of attention to MKG since this was my first time seeing him in person. he obviously has elite quicks when he really turns it on. as others in the thread said, if he puts on 20 lbs of muscle (no given) then he is a many-time all star waiting to happen. hopefully in the 2nd half of the season more of the halfcourt offense will be run through him. in ISO plays he can hold his own, and you might as well have him take more of those ugly jumpers to see if he can start making some. on defense, he's subtly making up for some lax play by pretty much all the other defenders. he r
eally, really gives a ****. there were a couple of plays where a raptors fan might think he was dunked on, but in reality most other players wouldn't have bothered to challenge the shot or get in close to try for rebounds.
biyombo is really, really frustrated. i think most of his issues right now are mental. he is always caught between help D and staying on his man, between going for the block and hanging back for a defensive rebound. it seems he always makes a choice a half-second too late, and it always works out horribly for him. hopefully this is a blip. nobody could put up with playing like this permanently, it would get too too frustrating.
yes, the rotations and substitutions seemed just as nonsensical and random in person as they do on tv/streams. really disappointed that the bobcats couldn't compete and put up more of a fight. they've certainly got it in them. can't be too encouraging to be down by 20 points in the 1st half for probably the 10th time already this season. i mean come on, these guys are professionals. a big, tough @$$hole is needed for the frontcourt, for sure. adrien is nice, but he only goes 1/3rd of the way.
