Tuned in to an Erie Bayhawks game tonight to watch Henry Sims. He put up 11 & 18, though the other team's tallest player was 6'9. Good passer, seems to have a high BBIQ.

The surprise of the day was that Erie picked up Cory Higgins today! Not surprising was that Cory went 1-8. The first time he touched the ball he dribbled it off his foot out of bounds. Poor kid. Some things never change.

He scored like 16 points in an NBA game once.

He had 22 in a mid-April game that nobody gave a rat's ass about. My theory that he would struggle from off a D-League bench is looking decent so far.

The guy I like is Millsap. The only problem is, in order to attract a free agent the Bobcats likely have to put on the floor a more competitive team that can win in the here and now - another reason why I'd go to great lengths to acquire Rudy Gay. Adding Rudy Gay doesn't just end there. His addition begins a chain reaction that leads to other skilled players buying into our plan.

The draft-for-3-years-and-wait/pray strategy is a turn off for some of these guys I would imagine.

I hate to break it to you, man, but Rudy Gay isn't nearly good enough to be attracting FAs. In the future, MKG could be. Also with Gay's contract, we may not have the space to sign a guy like Millsap anyway.

Well I'm not inside Paul Millsap's head but I would imagine he'd be more likely to buy into a team with Rudy Gay over MKG. Millsap may not want to wait 2-3 years and I honestly wouldn't blame him. 2-3 years is significant amount of time to toil around in an empty, quiet arena.

You make it sound like Gay would catapult us into the playoffs or something.

In other news, MKG already impacts the game in more ways than MKG. The only thing Gay can do better is score.

True but scoring is what this team needs, not 3 years of MKG learning how to score. Gay is a lightening rod for defenders. And that opens up the floor. Kemba Walker is the type of point who thrives when he has better shots available. And I think MKG could be replaced with Shabazz no problem.

You don't understand that we're rebuilding. We're taking time and building through the draft, not being impatient and signing players to big long-term deals. What you're proposing is the recipe for a perfect treadmill team.

So far I have merely proposed swapping Shabazz and MKG, adding Gay and signing Millsap.

Anyone interested in Boozer? It seems Chi fans predicting he will be dealt this summer to clear cap space. If any team can absorb his deal we sure can. What would it take? (asking those who would make an effort to acquire him).

We'd need a big incentive coming back here. I'm not interested.

I don't understand why we haven't called kenyon Martin... He is miles better than any PF on our roster and I know he is at the point were he will play for anybody that's paying
