I've been die-hard fan since the expansion draft. I lost my realgm login info at one point and just gave up and made a new one, hence my joined date being off.

I used to post more frequently. The most fun I've had on here was probably when the Cavs took the protection off the draft pick they owed us, assuming they were locks for the playoffs. So I put a jinx on them and kept posting their record as it dropped until ultimately, it turned out we had a second shot in that year's lottery.

Of course, my pride diminished after that didn't work out for us in the long run!

Same, but hear me out. I moved to LA a few years ago and I became all-about everything NC-related and talking about how great it is out here, anyway, my neighbor gets me all hyped up about the Lakers and how great they are (it was '09 so they were champions) so I bought in.

Once I moved there, I became all-about everything NC-related and talking about how great it is out here. One of my other friends comes over all the time and plays NBA 2K8 or 9 and he plays as different teams, but when he would play as the Charlotte team, I would root for them (because of NC relation).

I realize that my favorite team is the Charlotte Bobcats and that Gerald Wallace is my favorite player. Just in time for the playoffs too! How exciting! Now the fun begins:

-Straight manhandled by the Magic in 4 games
-Have to see the Lakers win (I hated the Lakers then)
-Lose Gerald Wallace in a trade for a bag of peanuts that we end up throwing away (That killed me harder than anything)
-Bad season filled with disappiontments and shortcomings. Trade away Captain Jack, the last remaining warrior from our playoff run
-7 WIN SEASON needs no more elaboration. And I followed EVERY game hoping for 1 more win.
-Lose the lottery on a draft where #1 spot mattered

"Dan Dicaku and Juan Dixon will absolutely be on this team"

"That can't be the full expansion list, they have to be missing some names"

Going on the Knicks board to explain that Cezary Trybanski has an outside chance of being taken in the expansion draft (he was among the names exposed by New York). To have a Knick fan propose a trade of Gerald Wallace for Cezary Trybanski. Then me having to explain that there is no way that will ever happen and they wouldn't have to make the trade because Cezary was exposed.

"oh they are probably going to sign some vets to strengthen the frontline" 2004 to present.

And finally;
"Jason Kapono will be this teams Kelly Tripuka and Gerald Wallace reminds me of Stacey Augmon" Chrbal after the expansion draft.
