Alexey Shved and Derrick Williams

Post#1 » by Roll Tide 09 » Tue Nov 12, 2013 8:56 pm

This is mainly about Alexey, but according to Realgm, he and Williams have been made available via trade for veterans.....we were talking about getting a facilitator last night. So what about Alexey Shved?

I might trade for them, would rather have Shved, dont need Williams even tho he is a decent scorer, Shved is 6"6 he can Ramon can run the 2nd unit but he is sort of expensive at 3mill per year

I'm also intrigued by Shved because he has played with a passer like Rubio. I could see Shved being like Greivis Vasquez.

The comparison I like is Shved being like a smaller Brent Barry.

Not crazy about either, but both could help us in some form. To me, more likely to see something like Shved and Williams for Evan Turner.

If they would take Haywood for Shved.

The way Turner has been playing he may command something serious in a trade.

I still like Williams if he could be had at the right price.

Shved would be decent but are we trading Ramon or Taylor for him?

I liked Shved when he was available as a 2nd round draft pick.

It would be nice to have another facilitator but I can't see him getting much chance on this team with Kemba and Sessions.

How many PF's do we need? And no, he can't play SF, at all.

A starting caliber one would be nice.

Im just not high on Williams, and I think McRoberts is actually a better player than him at the moment.

A starting caliber SG would be better. Seems like acquiring Shved and Williams would be pretty lateral since neither one fills a pressing need.

I think McBob is right this second but with more time Williams will blossom. Williams would be a good pairing with Biz and would work well in the second unit behind Jefferson and McBob.

Williams would provide more versatility and make the Bobcats a lot more difficult to defend than McRoberts. Williams is a better scorer while McRoberts is a better passer, but they both rebound at about the same rate. I would say that they are essentially equal players at the moment, but Williams has a lot more potential and be the better player
