Yeah, we might as well give Biz a shot. There aren't many guys suitable for that role so why just don't see how good is this athletic 6-10 rim protector with freakish arms who's sitting there on the bench. Granted, his natural position seems to be at center but Biz has looked more comfortable guarding 4s this season than before. He will get burned but he's shown the skill to guard somebody out on the three point line for the first time in his career, if you remember the Sixers game where he forced Hawes to pick up the ball twice after Spencer attempted to put the ball on the floor.

The NBA game is slowing down for Biz. I'm not saying that we need to start him next to Jefferson yet but at least give them some spots minutes together to see what happens.

Biz needs a guy next to him who can hit the jumper at a semi-consistent clip, can read the court well and is a good passer who is unselfish and will get him easy baskets.

Guys, Jefferson is 6'10, he isn't a explosive leaper, he isn't a bruising player, he fits the mold of a traditional PF. I don't know why we NEED a stretch 4 anyways, championship teams win traditionally with a true center and power forward, not with this perimeter shooting Euro style offense the league is trying to become.

Our biggest player is Zeller, a 7 footer we want to play on the perimeter. Jefferson is a big but he isn't a towering presence, he isn't a physical overpowering player either, his main move is a pump fake, that should tell you about his power game. If you look at the Memphis Grizzlies front court, they have Z-Bo, who's about 6'9 or 6'10, he's a big that plays tough but he's no leaper or great defender, but his front court mate, Gasol is a big 7 footer who can block shots, rebound and has a nice post game along with Z-Bo, Jefferson needs a front court mate like that, not a finesse big like Henson. Jefferson should play alongside someone like Kendrick Perkins, or a Joakim Noah. You have to balance out Jefferson's deficiencies with someone who can cover for him, since we drafted Zeller we should build him to be that guy, imo.

Jefferson is 6'10, Mcroberts is 6'10, Biyombo is 6'8 or 6'9, Adrien is 6'7, and Zeller is 7'0 but we want him to be a pick and pop player. We need a true bruiser inside who's got the size that Adrien, and Biyombo lack. This is why guys like Gortat and others will and have given Jefferson trouble in his career. Cause he's going against bigger true centers.

Zeller is our tallest not biggest player. You don't block **** with your forehead. Biz has almost a half foot advantage in standing reach. You can't just turn a soft guy with short arms into a premier defender overnight.

No, Jefferson is plenty big enough and can back down 95% of players in this league if he wanted to, he's just a big pussy that settles for jumpshots or ballerina post moves instead of throwing his weight around and drawing fouls.

Brother Dave you might be right, maybe he can if he wants to, but that's not his game. Before we played the Utah Jazz the Jazz players kept joking with him about his patented move that they swore they wouldn't bite for, the pump fake. The man has been in the league for about 10 years now, why try to change his game now? We know who he is and how he plays, instead of trying to make him something he isn't why not just get a big beside him to balance out the frontcourt?

Somebody mentioned how Biz did a good job defensively vs Nene, but Nene isn't really a center either, and he's a big strong guy as is Biyombo, but these guys aren't center big. And Biyombo isn't 6'10, I think he's closer to being 6'8, he just has good athleticism and long arms but he's not a tall big by any stretch of the imagination.

The Indiana Pacers are a perfect example of what I'm saying. David West is a strong big PF, but not very explosive, not very quick, and he isn't a rim protector, so to balance out his height and defensive shortcomings they have him matched up with 7'2 rim protector Roy Hibbert. The Bulls did the same with Boozer playing alongside Noah. Memphis has Z-Bo and Gasol. I just think we need a true presence inside on the defensive end, we drafted Zeller so he should be trained to play as such instead of being a 7 ft perimeter shooter, if that isn't soft I don't know what is.

Zeller has the skills of a center, the body of a power forward and the mindset of a small forward. He is barely a "big" and is a terrible complement to Jefferson in that he can't really shoot and can't defend anybody bigger/stronger than him (most PF/Cs).

Biz looks like he's grown a little to me, he just looks slightly shorter than Al so I think he's at least 6'9" in shoes now. Regardless, he's strong as an ox, springy, and stupidly long. He's the only guy on the roster that can remotely hide Al on defense but he's the only back up C on the roster currently. Maybe when/if Driftwood becomes active Clifford will experiment with Biz and Al together but I kind of doubt it.

If we're going to stick with Al ( ) then we need to find a long, athletic PF that can move laterally well and stretch the floor from the outside. The problem is that those kind of players are very rare. I'd try and make a low-cost move for someone like Thad Young that fills most of those boxes.
