Re: Article on Glen Davis
With Cody's recent success I would be less interested in Davis but if it's a minimum deal I can't complain.
investigate Adam Silver

Re: Article on Glen Davis
Glen “Big Baby” Davis was waived earlier today by the Orlando Magic. He is best known for his stint with the Boston Celtics during there “big 3” championship days in 2008. Big Baby was averaging 12.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists before he was bought out today. Glen Davis had been struggling after becoming the focal point of the team because of Dwight Howard's departure. Glen Davis is in no way a number one option for a team but could be a great off the bench option for a team with a great system.
Here are the top 3 teams that I think he should consider...
1. Brooklyn Nets: Why not return to play with his former mentors? Even though Kevin Garnett is older but still the same guy he would most likely treat Glen like a grown man and let him play his game. The Nets system allows big guys to excel at whatever they do best. For example the improvement of Nets F/C Andray Blatche, he has improved his play and became unselfish in the process.
2. Charlotte Bobcats: If playing time is a necessity for Glen Davis he will surely receive it as a member of the Bobcats. They have a nice young core that Glen Davis could blend in with. Davis could also help with the development of their draft pick Cody Zeller. Davis is a good rebounder and an exceptional jump shooter, something he could teach the kid.
3. Los Angeles Clippers: This is my least favorite of likely destinations. Although Doc Rivers is a phenomenal coach, he never seemed to gel with Glen Davis on his roster. It was reported earlier today that they were indeed interested in signing the big man as Blake Griffin as of now doesn’t have a backup. Maybe big baby can create some new magic with his former coach Doc Rivers.

I've discussed it before as a acquisition that I think Charlotte should seriously consider for their playoff push & run. They are going to need some quality depth at PF/C beyond the youth of Bismack Biyombo and to a bigger extent, Cody Zeller, whom are both inexperienced players that are 21 years of age or younger. The fact that Cho & Co. pursued Brandon Bass via trade before the deadline should make Davis a viable pursuit for pennies on the dollar since he's almost as good as Bass without having to lose assets in the deal. I believe if the Bobcats could land Davis post-buyout, it could help them finish between the 3-6 seed in the Eastern Conference playoff picture as well as conceivably seal their fate to make it into the 2nd round

I like Ivan the Terrible. He'd bring some more defensive toughness here.
