Done. His response will probably piss me off. He will use some kind of metric rating to down Jefferson. I swear id rather drink paint thinner than have an intelligent debate with that guy.

Hah! How stupid are you! Haven't you even SEEN Paul Pierces TS%! Just like Gary Neal, Bismack Biyombo, Anthony Tolliver, and Jannero Pargo are our best players.

If you multiply their TS% times their USG, ORR, and PER you will see blah blah blah. Hes a pretty knowledgeable guy and a good poster when he isn't being an ass. But you can only take analytics so far before it gets ridiculous, and he takes it alllll the way.

you guys be careful in that PC thread. i'd hate to lose any of you over such a ridiculously stupid debate. honestly, trying to argue with anyone suggesting that paul pierce is better than al jefferson this season, thats a debate not worth entering.

We have an easier schedule ahead than the Wizards, so it should be possible that we get the 6th seed by the end of the season

That's playoff basketball, folks. Wow. What a great win. 6th seed here we come.

Debate the pros and cons of our rebuild all you want, but no denying that this is fun.

I've run out of superlatives for Al this season. I'll let other players around the league gush on my behalf. However, the dramatically uncontested D Will layup to tie it up at the end of reg had me riled.

BTW, Brother Dave - was that you with the CZ Top tweet? Like it.

Joe Johnson posted his 34th double-figure scoring game this season.
Thats just half the games he has played.
He is an All-star.

He's the Chris Grant of posters.

Sounds good in theory but means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

He's warned me and suspended me for 24 hours once to have the audacity to question his knowledge when he suggested washed up Deshawn Stevenson was clearly better than Gerald Henderson..

It's clear he has an irrational bias against Charlotte and he should not be engaged on such subject matter.

MVP: When the Bobcats win, Al Jefferson is usually a big part of the reason, and tonight was no exception. Jefferson had a monster game for the Cats, posting 35 points while shooting over 50 percent from the field and adding 15 big boards. He provided Charlotte with a consistent low-post presence.

LVP: Paul Pierce played 31 minutes in this one, but you wouldn't know it by looking at the box score. He mustered only eight points on seven shots and was all but invisible for long stretches of time throughout the game. The Nets will need more out of Pierce come playoff time.

X factor: Pretty quietly, Kemba Walker is having himself a solid season. He had sort of a slow start in this one, but he played excellent basketball down the stretch to help the Bobcats pull off a big win that was important for playoff positioning. Walker dropped 20 points and added an impressive 12 assists.

All Tsherkin is is a stat wh0re nothing else. Obviously stats are an important factor in judging how well a player is playing but its not the end all be all. Plus, all hes doing is baiting you guys so you get mad and he can ban you it seems like. He probably has an inferiority complex and projects said troubles out on RealGM in the hopes he can somehow better his self worth. Don't fall for it and just ignore the loser. Just my opinion.

Yep, that was cool. The guy that submitted Gollum was lobbying hard. That was really funny when Steve read that one, you could hear the little hamster that runs around Steve's brain looking for answers keep opening doors and finding empty rooms. Apparently, Uncle Steve isn't a LOTR fan.

I loved the Gollum idea as I would pay to hear a slurring Uncle Steve say things like "Wow! Gollum jacked that shot up from Gastonia."

I'm also beginning to truly believe that Stevie is buried in 64 oz. beers during the broadcast, or is suffering from acute dementia. He's a parade of odd these days. Like when Kemba hit a 15 footer and he said "And Kemba for 3." Wow.

Martin is not a basketball expert but I believe his exuberance has a place in entertainment. He is like an overexcited kid and you can sense him rooting while he covers games in play-by-play. He's not the most accurate or informed guy but he's thoroughly mediagenic and has a flair for the dramatic. He's no Dick Vitale but Dick Vitale made a living on drama and sensationalism and genuine enthusiasm for players and potential. Vitale loved Chris Paul coming out of Wake and I remember him saying that knocks on his height were unfounded and he was really trying to sell him to teams. Now granted he's not some kind of genius but he helps sell the game. And like it or not so does Martin. I take exception to the bashing of him because I taught his daughter and have met his wife and they're a really nice family. It's always been said Dick Vitale is extremely genuine when you meet him in person. There's an honesty in his (many) imperfection(s) and human quality to his theatrics despite his buffoonery.

The guy is a diehard Bobcats fans and if you flicked a camera on yourself and tried to win an audience, most people would have a hard time attracting attention or engaging people.

Understanding you have a personal connect, you obviously have personal feelings - I respect that. However, you have to understand that "Uncle Steve" bashing has a long, long tradition on this board. We all love "Uncle Steve" here, know he's a diehard fan, and giving him the business is the way we show our love. Personally, the only way I would want to see him go is when Steph is Ready. :D

This being said, I've watched about 75% of the games on LP for the last umpteen years, and this year in particular he does seem a tad more off his game. Not sure why, but it's noticeable.

NBA has fined Nets guard Jorge Gutierrez $15K for that Flagrant-2 when he chopped down on Bobcats' Cody Zeller.
