you only need three guys to have a three on two. plus zeller is pretty fast

Hey soon-to-be-Hornets Nation !
(finally, it's about fawking time !)

Here is my two cents about your beloved franchise and the answer to the thread's question :
The Right One !
Your franchise is going in the right direction.

I know that you've been waiting to see some improvements from the change of course that has been taking place since the last (and glorious) playoffs season.
You've drifted through the most difficult tempest in a raging sea for years, but now, finally, the sky clears up, the sea quells its own chaos and by the buzzing sound of the hornet (;o) that just elected to greet you, you know the shore is nearby.

In a more Terre à terre version, I would say that the right players with the right mind sets and values have been selected so far in the previous drafts.
Although I was not a big fan of Kemba's game so far, I love his mental toughness and I believe that in the right role (not the main focus on offense, or even the second option) he can flourish and become a deadly weapon, not to mention the emotional leader of the Squad.
MkG is going to be a very nice, if unorthodox player, kind of like Deng in Chi-Town. Lock down defense, glue guy, who has a complete game and the willingness to sacrifice for the good of the Team. A Winner period.
The jury is still out with Biz but I also love his demeanor, work ethic and the potential, I hope that he fulfill his expectations and become your own version of Big Ben Wallace. Getting Pat Ewing was a huge plus in that regard.
And I absolutely loved the Zeller pick, I think on paper he complements Biz and the rest of the team very well and I believe his game will translate well in the NBA. Good character too.

Big Al is a nice addition also, he will stabilize the offense and give the big youngsters time to develop and learn.

Of course you need way more talent, and I hope they come from the 3 picks you hold for next draft, but the franchise put itself in great position to bring this next talent (Wiggins hopefully, fingers crossed... And you are fawcking due a break of fawking LUCK, c'est vrai quoi MERDE ! Excuse my french) with a great supporting cast and a good environment with a kickass HORNETS identity !

So YES, this franchise is going in the right direction and with a little luck you might be in OKC shoes in no time, a small market with a great young and exciting Team.

Yeah but it's the transition D that will hurt us with Jeffy on the floor.

clifford said that getting back on defense was non-negotiable. i imagine it will be a huge point of emphasis in training camp. will be interesting to see if clifford hold jefferson accountable in that area.

I think it really has nice balance and is filled with workers and winners. I don't see very much weakness other than what youth naturally brings. I hope you guys have a good season good enough to give us your pick this year or next year. Season is almost here and I'll be watching your team intently. Good luck.

Thanks and it's good to know there are some out there in Realgm that don't just instantly write off Charlotte.

I think the pick will be handed out either next season or the season after as a late teens pick.

JohnnyKILLroy wrote:I like that your team is at least 2 deep at every position and your roster is very versatile. You guys can go big, small, fast, slow...

If anyone on your roster is having an off night there's another in line waiting to get his burn.

I think your team can finish better than 10th worst. You guys might fight for .500 this year. How good do you think you are?

I agree that the team is 2 deep at every position.

Kemba/Sessions
Henderson/Gordon
Gilchrist/Taylor
Zeller/McRoberts
Jefferson/Biyombo/Haywood

Seems to be a young balanced, talented team on paper but the reality is that it is young talent and does not currently have a legit #1 option.

I think the tank effect will come into play this season and Charlotte will end up on about 26 wins, inconsistency will be a killer also.

around 26 wins will give us a legit shot at the lotto and hopefully the Detroit and Portland picks are conveyed.

Told you so. Fighting for .500

Really like the year you guys had and are having.

Really hope you do some damage in the Playoffs. Good luck and thanks for the pick.

Clifford for COY? Not "unanimously" though. However, I'm positive he'll get some votes

Our Franchise Direction?

If it's not Clifford it has to be Hornacek. Although I think where the Cats have been for the past 4 years, Clifford deserves the COY for putting our team on the map again

Hornacek by way of a much better record in a much better conference.

If not him, Clifford, Pop and Thibs deserve some recognition.

Yep, Horny should have it in the bag. Otherwise, I'd be tempted to give it to Cliffy whether we finished .500 or not.
