Cody vs McBob per 36mins

Cody
12.5pt/9rb/2.3ast/1blk/1stl/42.6% shooting/73% FT

McBob
10.1pt/5.7rb/5.1ast/.9blk/.7stl/43.6% shooting/72.9% FT

and Cody's stats are with him sucking balls the first half of the season

Sure he will. Heck he was this year when McRoberts was hurt. All backups are starters at some point. He just won't be a quality stater in the league unless he completely retools his game on both ends. He has to be a stretch 4 and if we can draft a guy who is better suited to do that now why not? Why hope Zeller develops a game when we can have someone who has the skills already.

Lack of faith my man, lack of faith. You will see soon enough. ;)

According to Cho we should have seen last year. Not lack of faith just being realistic. How many players completely retool their game over the course of a summer. He needs to spend as much time in a gym as Biz this summer.

If Tyler Ennis fall to #20 for the Raptors, that'll be a great situation for Charlotte, because that'll likely mean that Greivis Vasquez will become available via free agency, and he's my ideal backup PG to Kemba as long as Gerald Henderson is on the roster, so he can eat into Henderson's minutes and make for a better SG like Ramon Sessions did

Cody can't maintain it over 36 minutes because it is not skilled play just hustle. Until he learns to play basketball he can't start over long stretches he would wear out and be completely useless. He does not have skills to play at anything less than full speed and be effective.

It pissed me off that he was sold as a finished product to us. If he was a finished product this year we need to fire a lot of people.

Cody is skilled he just needs to get stronger to be able to use that skill better

He got significantly stronger during the season, or atleast played stronger. He will be fine. To be honest in a horrific draft he was a great pick. Way too much hate for him. He was the 3rd most productive rookie drafted in the top 10.

Cody needs 3 outta 4 of these to be a starting level PF:
• Lower body strength (massive amounts)
• A consistent shot with range
• Much improved handles
• Adjustment to NBA speed of play (improved as season went on)

I knew it was a project the moment they try to sell me on the idea that he would be a decent perimeter shooter when I never seen him take a shot outside of the paint in two seasons at Indiana. I tried to give Cho the benefit of the doubt about the whole 'stretch 4' aspect, but my instincts wouldn't accept it that easily

I see where you get that idea, but I don't think anyone else believes that Ennis is the 9th best player in this draft. This is why most of us would be fine with Exum, Smart, or Lavine.

Of course we could be wrong and Ennis could be a perennial all-star, but if that were common knowledge he'd be gone well before 9. Projections are just part of the game.
