Draftexpress has us getting McBuckets at 9 and Young at 24!

We would have to be happy with that wouldn't we?

I would be extremely happy with that if Young could fall to #24 like that, which is possible but not very likely

If Young is sliding, I wonder if we would try and move up?

Say that Clippers deal is a real thing and it goes through. No way we are taking 3 first round rookies. Possibly package those to picks to move up and grab him.

A lot of ifs though.

Young will go between #10-16 to one of the Sixers, Nuggets, Magic, Timberwolves, Suns, or Bulls. All of those teams could have use for him. The ideal of him sliding into the 20's is kind of hyperbole if you ask me

Rumor from the Clippers beat reporter side:

From Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times: "The Clippers have the 28th overall selection, but league officials who were not authorized to speak publicly said Doc Rivers doesn't want to add a rookie to his roster and would rather have the cap space than pay the guaranteed salary that goes to a first-round draft pick. The officials said that Rivers has offered trade scenarios centering around their pick, plus a wing player — either Jamal Crawford, Matt Barnes or Jared Dudley — and reserve guard Willie Green. One deal that was proposed had Dudley and another Clippers player and the Clippers' draft pick going to the Charlotte Hornets for guard Gerald Henderson, but it has gone nowhere so far."

If we did this we would almost certainly draft a shooting guard and probably sign one in free agency...

I'd give them Zeller + Henderson for Jamal Crawford + #28

But the beauty of this trade is they don't want salary back. Taking Zeller back kind of defeats what they are trying to achieve.

If that's the case then I think Charlotte should hold their cards and avoid this trade, because I'd rather use the same package to exhaust Taj Gibson who is a perfect fit alongside Jefferson. I'm not that enthused by Matt Barnes, Jared Dudley, or Willie Green, but I've been a fan of Jamal Crawford's since his Michigan year

I'm wary of if he can still be the same player after that scary back/vertebrae injury. Anderson 'sound' like a good acquisition for a late 1st though, but put that emphasis on 'sound'

if we traded 9 for 16 and 19 i would not be surprised if rodney hood was our target. we have worked him out twice and according to hood, we were among the teams that showed the most interest in him during the year. he said that he was very impressed with how much research we had done on him.

That's what I've been thinking is a possibility. In addition to Hood I think Elfrid Payton would be the other target. I would be pleased to come out of this draft with Hood and Payton.

Our bench would be crazy athletic, I doubt anyone in the league could match it.

I'm a big Anderson fan, but that neck injury is a major red flag. I'd be cautious of giving too much for him. He'd be a great fit though.

I like these guys A LOT for second round consideration. I have about 3-4 others as well for the second round but right now these are the two best. I think both have potential

Looks like we really need to consider drafting a shooting guard. Might not be too many people we can sign.
