Jeremy Lin is a sixth man type more than a full time starter. Same with Jackson, but I think Jackson can become a legit starter, but he isn't even close to Kemba. Not to mention, we'd have to overpay Jackson to get him anyway. If we let Kemba walk at $13-14M or something, that's kind of dumb, considering it would probably cost $10M+ to get Jackson off OKC (or whatever team they trade him to) anyway.

We are NOT in a position to let Kemba go. If a team offers Kemba $13-14M, I match without hesitation and roll with it, because sans Kemba, we're headed straight for mediocrity again instead of ascending to the NBA elite. We can't just assume that Curry's going to come and save the franchise in 2017.

I don't care if someone offers him a max deal. Sure it would suck, but we have wiggle room since Lance signed cheap, we've got a lot of rookie contracts, and the cap is going to take a major jump before we have real cap space to add a star to our core. Sure that extra salary hurts a little, but nowhere as much as losing Kemba would.
