I think this is a subtle form of discipline for Biyombo for not showing up this summer. It can't be about on the court. Even if Biyombo drops some passes he is way more productive than Maxiell. He currently has a 2.7 PER and is averaging 1.4 rebounds per game and gets abused consistently on defense. He is essentially a corpse. An unfocused disengaged Biz would still be more beneficial than Max.

Well maybe Biyombo should worry more about his profession than crossfit or his charities. Sounds terrible I know. But its the way it goes.

Edit: And he has shown no progression at all. Its his 4th year for Christ sake.

In one offseason Zeller and MKG, especially MKG went from players who couldn't shoot to players who can drain it. Biyombo still can't catch a damn basketball.

Just went to read the recap, and damn ... I didn't realize that the Hawks have only won one game this season.

And Lance said that this was his first game winner; he had apparently never hit a game winner at any level of basketball.

Adventures of Curious College Kids Pt. 2: Talked to one of Biyombo's brothers after the game tonight. Was a cool guy and we chatted for a few minutes, didn't catch his name though.

noticed that too. Is there a rift there?

Not that anyone knows of, which is why I was surprised.

Not trying to suggest anything either but Kemba's body language has been a topic of discussion as of late.

It was just so weird and unexpected, even I took a while to celebrate. I was mostly laughing. Lol

Yeah, Kemba was definitely joining in on the celebration afterwards, the cameras caught it. I'm guessing it's just bad timing on the gif, he was probably like me, more relieved than anything else that we didn't have to go to 3OT. Once that "thank god......" feeling wore off, he seemed to celebrate like everyone else.

Cheers Ham.

Just trudging around seeing what I can get into lol. I actually did I asked if he knew why Biz wasn't getting any minutes and he said he didn't know why either. Told him it was ridiculous that Maxiell was getting minutes over him and he laughed and agreed with me.

You honestly believe a professional NBA coach as level headed as Clifford would continue to discipline/punish a player to the detriment of the team he coaches? Maxiell might be individually terrible but Biz with his boneheaded plays, errors, lack of focus on learning plays, stupid fouls, basically makes the team collectively more terrible. You keep insisting all this but you have no footage of Biz in practice and have no idea what Clifford sees. So despite not seeing Biz through Clifford's perspective, you're suggesting you know Cliff's motives.

It's a reach.

I'm not sure what his motives are. I've speculated about it but I'm not really sure to be honest. However, you can't deny that Maxiell has played far worse than what we last saw from Biyombo. Maxiell has looked like hes in the discussion for worst player in the league that gets minutes. I'm not going to assume he plays much better in practice and he even has said he is surprised that he has been getting rotation minutes. He has clearly had a negative impact on the teams performance. Up until tonight he has been scored on at will inside. At least when Biz does read a play or position himself correctly he can have an impact on the play. There is no way anyone is going to convince me that Maxiell is better than hardly anyone in the NBA if he keeps playing like this.

Maybe many here just like Biz than I do. I can see how Clifford might feel terrified to give him minutes. I see Maximus as a zero and Biz as a liability.

I'll take 5% of the credit for the win because of my topical good luck charm.

It's going to be tough for us flying across the country coming off double overtime, but we can't lose to the damn Lakers.

The one game I miss and it was so exciting, I left it to record but didn't extend it long enough for 2OT. :(

:D :D Outstanding game.Although we should have won it in 1st OT. Anyway now we are 3 and 3. Should win 2 on this road trip to stay at .500.
As for Biz,he has really no trade value unless we package him. The way Cody is playing at 4 maybe we could bring Vonleh back to backup Al? A second unit of Roberts,Neal, Hendo, Cody and Vonleah might just work.
